In this video we break down both teams strategies heading into the Cup Final.. and we use the power of video, numbers, and in-game adjustments to help us determine who will win the Stanley Cup & be crowned the king of the NHL Playoffs.

  1. I'm so happy its coming down to these 2 teams. They were who I've been wanting to see face each other from the beginning and it's even cooler that no matter what someone is winning their first cup.

  2. Love your breakdowns and of course I think we are winning the cup in 6 games. Primary reasons that the Panthers will win is that Tkachuk and a better than Eichel, that frees up for a healthy Barkov to do magic, Bobrovsky is on fire and will stay hot and lastly the intangibles, yes it’s about willing yourself over the other team, I don’t think Vegas has a Bennet/Gudas/Lundel/Lomberg and such that are so viciously gritty and tough, we will wear them down and I think we take it in 6.

  3. Panthers going to have to beat the refs too if they want to win. Any goalie that ever went on a total carry Cinderella run turned into a pumpkin at midnight.

  4. The Knights are like a juiced up, healthy Hurricanes and all those games were close… No one wants to admit it because it gets in the way of narratives and wishful thinking (or confirmation bias) but the VGK is easily the most complete team Florida has played and I think that lack of weakness to exploit will lead to a Vegas series win in 6

Boston had a great regular season, but their coaching, goaltending and defensive structure was nauseating… They gave up too many easy chances and goals. I’m gonna refrain from using the Leafs top guys disappearing and point to their weak goaltending, non existent grit and Justin Holl and TJ Brodie… The Canes were playing Stefan Noesen and Jack Drury playing top 6 minutes

Vegas doesn’t have these issues… Their defensive structure is sound, they’re big and intimidating, they’re healthy, they have 4 great lines that can score and back check , great coaching and Adin Hill has been the 2nd best goalie in these playoffs

Bob has been insane, but I can’t exactly see a scenario where he plays as well as he did against historical chokers and a broom 6 masquerading as a top 6… Peoppe don’t want to admit it but he’s doing a real carry job; any drop under a high .920 would completely destroy Florida’s chance at a cup and for whatever reason, people are acting like that’s sustainable like Vegas’s offense is Toronto or Carolina

  5. I am gonna be interested in seeing the first game cause the extended rest the Panthers got could have iced them a bit I think

  6. I think when you look at the teams Florida had to beat to get here Vegas is probably one of the weaker teams. Vs with Vegas the panthers are by far the best team they’ve had to face so far. I would also wager that if it comes down to a goaltenders dual I would take bob over hill 7 days a week. I do think it’ll be a good series but I think Florida has the tenacity to overcome anything at this point.

  7. I think Vegas does win. I think a) enough time has passed and Bob is going to be off his hot streak and 2) Vegas isn't a depleted Carolina team that isn't physical and is lacking scoring. If Florida does win, although I"m pissed they beat the Canes, I do like Paul Maurice so I'll be happy for him. If Florida loses, it will be nice to see the smirk wiped off Tkachuk's face.

  8. the thing that scares me about florida (at least during the carolina series as it is more fresh in my memory) is how many shots on goal they let up, sure they didnt turn into goals, but Bob can only make so many amazing saves.

  9. 55-45 favoring Florida imo, both of these teams have earned their spots, both deserve it. Only one can win, I think Florida is determined more than vegas. But Vegas will not go down easily, and are playing to win, not playing to maintain.

  10. I bet against Florida all playoffs long, and against Vegas after 1st round. I have f*ing no idea whose gonna win, not even if this series will be short or long

  11. VGK fan here who didnt grow up with hockey, so my thoughts may not be the most advanced way of looking at this but from the way I see it, the Panthers have relied on the Bob/Tchuck (I hate spelling his name) while VGK has been a well rounded depth team. We were able to beat Edmonton who had a similar, lean on their top 2 style.

It truly is a coin toss, but I hope the scales can tip in VGK favor! Im just excited for some good hockey, no matter who wins!

  12. Haha Florida is barely a playoff team. They are not good at all. Only made playoffs because Pittsburgh lost. They will get swept no doubt

  13. I really hate that Radko Gudas guy, it has nothing to do with clean defending. Hopes Vegas will win. And next year the Blackhawks.

  14. As a knights fan I hope they get this is a good series. I think marchy is another X factor same with barbeshev

  15. Vegas will have their spirits crushed very early in this series when they experience the Panthers forechecking. Its gonna be a massive reality check and they will struggle to create chances off the rush the way they want to. Florida Panthers in 5, THE CUP IS COMING HOME PEOPLE!!!

  16. I'll take that bet. VGK takes this in 5. All players are on the board. Hill is playing like a boss right now. 2 shut out games, and the games lost weren't lost by a whole lot in the last round. I believe it will be a hard fought battle, but it's Knight Time! GKG!!!

  17. I'm pulling for Florida because they've earned my respect, especially Bobrovsky. However, since I also wanted Vegas to beat Dallas, I wouldn't be upset if they win. I wanted both teams to be there. Since I have to pick a team and based on what I've been saying, I'm going for Florida.

  18. Has Florida changed its forecheck system from a 1-2-2 to a 2-1-2? Feels like they've been doing a 2-1-2 in the playoffs whereas in hockey tactics they said it was a 1-2-2.

  19. Panthers are going to wear them down during some tight games. I am going to say panthers in 6
