So apparently the Canes may be looking to offload him this offseason in favor of a veteran type player who will be better in the playoffs. While we don’t really have anyone who fits that bill save for maybe Perron, I feel a three way trade could be in order here.
Boston: Zadina/Veleno and Detroit’s 2023 3rd
Carolina: Hall and one of Detroit’s 2023 2nd’s (maybe a bit more from us, middling prospect or pick)
Detroit: Necas
Obviously we have to add picks (or equivalent prospects) here to make it work but Boston gets the cap savings they need and a top 9 roster guy, Carolina gets a vet who can perform in the playoffs and we get a younger right shot point producing winger/center to help our power play. Everybody wins right?
Now tell me how wrong I am and I will go away.

Shame we didn’t get him for free in the draft.
In your mind this is what the writer means by Carolina selling high?
Not sure that deal gets Necas, but I’d be all aboard. I like him
