Darren Dreger on NHL salary cup number, who Leafs picked Brad Treliving over for GM, Dubas in Pitt

Darren Dreger lets us know if there’s still a chance that the NHL salary cap goes up next year, which the Canucks would desperately want to see. He also catches us up on the latest with the Arizona Coyotes, the Ottawa Senators sale, who else the Leafs had their eyes on for the GM job that ultimately went to Brad Treliving, Kyle Dubas in Pittsburgh and Victoria’s Spencer Carbery, new coach of the Washington Capitals.

  1. Going on a date with an Aquilinis family friend tomorrow. Wish me luck lmao. Time for real changeđź’Ş

  2. the obviously manipulative and all-too confident "dubas" totally "used' his alleged tenuous family dynamic as leverage for his contract negotiation … "shanahan" completely saw through it and let him take a hike … this was the dude who, in his post-season "presser", claimed that you wouldn't see him pop up immediately with another organization … due to "needing" more quality time to tend to his supposed frazzled familial issues …

  3. Bettman's comment on The Coyotes will be: "Well, actually, our polling is showing that Arizona is one of the best places for an NHL team to be located, and in fact, that the enthusiasm for a team being there, from the fans to the government bodies, is 2nd to none. No, we don't foresee any relocation move for this great franchise!"
