"Hey Sill, you wanna have one?" "I'm going with him, you're too big." 😂 casual conversations before, during and after the fights are what make this game the best
Hockey without fighting ain't hockey. the day dropping the gloves is banned in the NHL i will protest the league every chance i get. this was so supposed to be a MAN's league
Fights are better than scrums. At least with a fight, there's a code of conduct that players respect and follow. In scrums, there is no code. The NHL needs to get back to basics. The latest scrum after every hit is ruining the flow of the game.
I found that most fights in hockey were just contests between friends to see you could fight better. It was very amicable but it was unnecessary part of hockey in order to establish a hierarchy so that people knew their roles and stayed in their lanes. More times than not, the people that fought would wind up going to the pub afterwards the game and buying each other a beer, or several. It's not the hate-filled goon type useless violence that's portrayed in the movies. It's much different in real life. I lost more fights than I won by far, but as soon as I learned how to fight properly, I got the respect of my teammates and my opponents almost universally.
I love hockey fights, half the fights are opponents just bored so they create entertainment and practice fighting skills. While the other half is just pissed off players getting heat off their shoulders and/or boiling over.

Is there a stategic advantage to fighting or is it just pure entertainment 😂
That's it. I'm done with football. My new favorite sport is hockey.

I think some of these guys fight for the fun of it love it.
I miss when fights were for the fans and their teammates to get things fired up. Not just as a retaliatory effort to "even the odds".
the fact that these guys are so chill before, during, and after the fight us just hilarious. So nonchalant about it
Canadian Eh?

I still can't believe hockey will have these moments where everything will come to a halt just for a fist fight. Wish more sports were this good.
I wish we had mics when Gretzky was kicking ass
I’m not your friend buddy
I’m not your buddy mate
From fighting to friends that’s hockey
Hockey players are a different breed man. So respectful to each other when they’re punching each other in the face 😂
Toughest sons of bitches around. I wish all pro sports did this.
The first clip is a dude sitting controlling the box just standing there like he’s confused 0:09
Love the first clip, so wholesome
0:19 this is why we get to fight and you people can't.
I don’t watch hockey at all. Could someone please explain wtf just happened with the first clip lmfao
sometimes i wonder what caused these players to fight 😂

As someone who practices mauy Thai and jiu jitsu I want to scrap on ice.

They only let them do this because it's a white sport. Same with how they charge the mound in baseball.

Good shit, I love hockey.
Why are they fighting if they're not angry? Like they're just asking each other to fight like you ask someone to dance…
