  1. Scores the Michigan goal and then casually backchecks, intercepts a pass, and scores again 😂

  2. Posting this after a 6-4 loss (and that makes it sound "close") in a game where our #1 G was injured shows that the PR department in St. Paul just doesn't quite "get it" yet. We want a cup. Cute goals in practice don't get us there. "This is about f'ing WINNING" ~ Billy Guerin —- Edit below —–

I should have left the "cute goal" part out as it lacked context. My step-dad coached for years. He used the phrase "cute goal" when he was criticizing defense (or lack thereof). As in "Boys – that last goal they scored was real cute… How about making them WORK for the next one?!?!"

In other words – I have no problem with star players doing star player things. And, Kaprizov is 100% a "star player". The dude is amazing to watch. However, I do have a problem with the total and complete lack of effort to stop him. Kaprizov was "skating" while everyone else was "coasting".

The Wild are not in a position to "coast" in practice right now. They've dropped five straight. They haven't won in almost a month. We've given up 24 goals in that span. We started December in 1st. We are now in 3rd with Colorado right on our heels.

That said – posting a video of your defense getting absolutely walked… twice…. in 30 seconds…. may not have the PR effect you were hoping for.

  3. playing hockey outside when its snowing looks like fun im sad that i dont have the opportunity to try it 🙁 im living in a warm country

  4. He shouldn’t have done it in practice, he should have done it in the real winter classic game

  5. I’ve seen so much positivity about the wild on all social platforms as of late. Pretty crazy what a winter classic and the thrill can do for a franchise

  6. Technically he pulled off the svechnikov lacrosse move, not the Michigan scoop. But still very impressive. It’s harder to pull off.
