The real dang-it is the fact that Andersen lifted Bennett's stick, not the other way around.

Still think the refs gave Florida a gift, calling a penalty with under a minute left in the game. What happened to not calling penalties in a crucial game unless it draws blood or an injury? Not fair at all.

1:47 Backwards Steve. Freddie did the stick lift and Bennett slammed it down. If you freeze frame it right when the sticks make contact, Bennett's stick occludes Freddie's. The only way that happens is if Freddie's stick is below Bennett's. So Bennett is outside of the paint with his stick off the ice. Freddie cheekily lifts Bennett's stick and Bennett doesn't like it and slams Freddie's stick down. So Freddie is complaining about goaltender interference, but he was the one interfering with Bennett.
No hockey for 4 days is a dang-it. I couldn't care less now who wins.

Steve, buddy, Anderson lifted Bennetts stick. Bennett wasnt even looking and just slammed it back down probably assuming it was a dmans stick.
Getting blown out 6-0 in an elimination game in front of your home crowd has to be the biggest dang-it in that series… they didn't even look like they wanted to win.
now of course i have never played in the nhl but i was a goalie when i played. normally i would agree that lifting the goalies stick is goaltender interference. but let's be honest ourselves, GOALIES, there was a good second or two between the stick lift and the shot that became the goal. further that stick lift didn't do anything to prevent the goalie from going side to side, that was his own d man. no i got to agree with the refs on this one.
Bennetts stick was also pushing Andersons pad towards the net, makes it tough for the goalie to slide across and make the save, goaltender interference. You need the front view and you see his stick between Andersons legs
