  1. Dean No! It is in your head not your arms you are holding on too tight under the pressure of the race you can only ride more to help arm pump and be mindful when u are racing to loosen your grip I used to have the same problem but I figured it out your arms are no different from anyone else's think about it you have sacrificed your body enough your getting older time to use your brain not make the same mistakes this is only a short term fix and u know it

  2. Deano you are the man and a great dad. On a side note, I have relatives in Clinton and I spent a lot of time there when I was kid. Korn Kountry!

  3. Hey man how much does this surgery cost? If it will help me to continue riding I’m up for it.

  4. I had this surgery done on my calves and it wasn’t very helpful. My forearms pump up bad as well and have considered something like this. I hope it works for you!

  5. Get well soon Deano, have you experimented with different knee braces for gripping the saddle? Asterix carbon cell Pros made riding so much better personally, works really well with Tech 10's.

  6. Deano what about the knee? Good Luck and keep getting better!!!! #RIPIT was hoping to see you at REDBUUUUD to get on the security gig hahaha take care and GOD BLESS YOU and your family this one is not as gnarly as the kiester one but still cringed GWS

  7. Deano, thanks for this video. I've always wondered about that procedure for arm pump releaf. Very cool of you to share it and listen man, do not feel insecure about it as your gotta do what helps you provide for your family. Go get some podiums now in WSX.

  8. As someone who gets chronic exertional compartment syndrome in both arms and legs trust me when I say I understand why you'd want to get the surgery! Not sure other people understand the frustration that comes with it, no amount of technique changes can truly compensate, and then you're just left riding slower to try and mitigate it. So far I've avoided surgery due to the seemingly guaranteed recurrence, but one of my legs actually ended up tearing the fascia on it's own which relieved some of the pressure on that side! Anyway, hope you see you back riding soon Deano, the sport is worse off without you in it!

  9. Had this done 23 years ago but maybe not as aggressive. I was awake and watched it get done. For about 3 months I didn’t get arm pump for the first time since I was a kid. It was amazing while it lasted. Then it was back. They wanted to do more extensive surgery but that was too much for me lol. Anyway back then no one believed me about arm pump. Nowadays it’s more understood. Have the same issue in my legs running but last few years I’ve actually managed to overcome it because it’s just running. Not possible when riding. Surgery really is the only answer.

  10. I wish I could’ve had this done during my racing career. So many races I underperformed due to arm pump. It sucked knowing I could’ve battled so much harder if I could feel my hands. I tried forearm work outs in the truck ride to the races but didn’t work to well. Tried jerking off before each Moro but after missing two races due to being stuck in the portapotty jerking off I gave up on that too.

  11. What make of TIRE IRON they using under the skin?> HOLY! Always cheering for you Dean.. I suffered arm pump also, bites.
