NJ Devils WIN Game 7 & BEAT the NY Rangers To Advance to the play The Carolina Hurricanes



The New Jersey Devils Win Game 7 of the first round of the 2023 NHL playoffs to end the NY Rangers season & Advance to the 2nd round to play The Carolina Hurricanes. The NJ Devils were dominant in this 4-0 victory and Akira Schmid earned his second shutout of the playoffs in only 5 games going 4-1.
The Devils got in early penalty trouble, but were great on the PK and were able to get some goals past Igor Shesterkin. Ondrej Palat proved again why he’s a great playoff performer as was able to steal the puck and pass it to Michael Mcleod for the first goal of the game. Tomas Tatar scored on a feed from John Marino to give the Devils a 2 goal lead.
In the third Trouba gave a huge hit to Timo Meier and he left the game, but did return. Schmid was fantastic making 31 saves and Jack Hughes on a 2 on 1 passed the puck to Haula for the goal and the 3 goal lead. Bratt added an empty net goal and the Devils celebrating their first playoff win in a long time. The NY Rangers season comes to an end and what changes will occur with their team. The Devils play the Hurricanes in round 2 on Wednesday, and in this video I discuss how these 2 teams match-up.

    Devils should play Luke in the next series. Just look at how much Knies has contributed to the leafs and Luke is big and tough just like Knies and I believe ready. Severson can come out of the line up

    It was great for the Devils to get this series win. No one can say that this team lacks experience now. New Jersey is playing with house money at this point. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, regardless of the outcome.

    Great game, so proud of this team. Third period seemed to take forever. Rangers fans were so cocky after game 2 a little karma for them. On to the next round. Lets Go Devils!

    Glorious. Schmid was fantastic flashing the leather and the team was cohesive and fast. NY Rangers fell apart again. Proved for all time that Shesterkin can be majorly beaten. I thought the Trouba hit was intentionally to the head first and in my book he's a POS for life. Now time to analyze Canes more to get ready. With Boston out it's anyones game now.

    The rangers looked old, tired and slow. I’m thrilled Boston/ Tampa bay is done as well. This is our year. We have the red hot goalie. Let’s go devils. Gonna be great series with Carolina. Meier needs to put the puck in the net and we will be 🔥🔥

    I am so happy! Never in my life have I ever roooted for the devils but this year I wanted devils to be good and beat Rangers! LaFreniere and Kakko are busts, dislike the Rangers, glad they lost! Go devils vs Canes! Hughes is incredible!

    Great video!!! yea… had to say HAULA !! def got to resign him heart soul guy, not even a question! Playoff Palat ..I cant contain my excitement now let alone last night lol Schmid!! I love how they all were laughing and loose pre-game. Jack almost skated out of his skates a few times but was a force. What a game. Amazing video I been telling all my devils fans to watch ya lol LGD!!! 🙂

    I was there. It was a lot of fun, it was a big party and we all had a blast. GreT time to be a Devils fan and this is only the beginning. Carolina plays a very team structured game and it should be another tough series.

    A unbelievable series the resilient of this team all year has been amazing and beating rangers is always sweet and its crazy to think we have a real shot to make a serious cup run look at all the teams left i am not scared honestly of any of them

    I have to admit I used to regret Haula for Zacha trade . Erik just couldn’t put a puck in the net during the regular season . Wow , what a transformation for the playoffs ! Some guys seem to bloom under pressure and others , like , say Panarin , seem to disappear . Great overall team effort ! LGD !

    The thing I'm most optimistic about is that the devils showed that they could beat the best goalie in the league and the best PP in the league. From here on out, they won't have to worry about facing those as much

    Great job as always!Can you do a video about the Boston Bruins factor.. analysing Taylor hall and pavel Zacha trades and where we are because of them. Bahl, Mercer and the compensation exchanged – this would be an awesome video.

    That was a great game! All the goals were beautiful! And, I'm happy that Tatar & Bratt finally scored (even though Bratt's goal was an empty netter)!
