I’ll be there for game 1! Go cats!
So, where is Laine getting traded to?
Othmann played great in playoffs.
give bruce a job before babcock. hell i'd give mike milbury a shot before babcock.
Gerard Gallant has already been there..but seems preferable to Babcock if GM is intent on structure and focus. The enthusiasm factor counts. And doesn’t sound like Babcock will be motivating in that direction.
why Babcock
I think its good. I miss torterella in cbus. Babcook seems like a winner. No the players wont like him as much as "players coach" brad larsen but maybe thats whats needed. Also half the best players were hurt this year so on the books whoever is hired will look like some amazing coach
As an Isles fan living in Vegas, I like Florida in Six. Aiden Hill is having an outstanding run and will get a nice contract from someone next season if Vegas passes on him.
What is Jarmo doing? I guess he is even more of an old school wannabe tough guy than I previously thought.
Poor Johnny G
Kinda feels like a desperation hire for Columbus.
Torts hard assed ways drove a lot of young guys away why wouldn't Babcock? If this happens I think it will be the end of jarmo
A lot of hate for Babcock based on hearsay and opinions. A lot of Leafs wanted him to stay as coach.
Columbus takes three steps backwards with the hiring of toxic Babcock
I picked Florida in SCF because they have been the best team from game to game, , once the found their legs, after being down 3-1 Vs Bos
Not a knock on Vegas.
And that's why we play the games
thing about babcock is he isnt really a player friendly coach?! wish the jackets well if they pick him and his crew! 🤷♂️🤔
I feel so bad for Columbus, after hearing some of the stunts, Babcock pulled
Hopefully the leadership core is ready to push back as a group if he starts bullying players
As a CBJ fan, I sure hope not.
Really hope this doesn’t effect Kevin Hayes going to CBJ still😂
Columbus really seems to be locked into a pattern of alternating good cop/bad cop coaches.
Overall: 38-44
Panthers
Who would want to play for Columbus anyways
First off thank you Bears for making this Caps fan's off season a little happier. It's also wonderful for the city of Hershey. Second, with Babcock's history, I'm sorry to see him get another job. What he did to Mitch Marner was despicable.
NHL can’t get a decent time slot for the finals, all late games again. Maybe next year youth hockey players will get a chance to watch them. This has to be an all time low for viewers able to watch a game. Sitting in an airport and a replay of Monday night football is on ESPN as opposed to a hockey playoff game.
Any coach for Columbus is than Vincent a disciple of Brad Larsen to me Larsen was to easy going
Jesus, Columbus truly likes being in perennial mediocrity don’t they?
How can you watch the memorial cup in the states?
Babcock is the perfect hire for cbj despite his crappy antics with certain players. He wins everywhere he has coached. Cbj hasn't won crap in their 23 yr existence. Great hire!
Do not understand how Babcock is the guy for the job in any way for a Columbus team that is looking to be on the upswing and winning within the next couple years. Is he good tactically? Not recently, he was thoroughly outcoached in playoff series in Toronto. Is he good with young guys? Not really. Is he good with vets? I don't know, ask Jason Spezza and Mike Modano. Does he instill toughness in his teams? No, again, look at Toronto and his "our revenge is the PP" mentality. Good coach in his day? Sure, but his day ended nearly 10 years ago. I thought Larsen sucked, but I think Babcock might be a worse decision.
Babcock in Columbus… I'll be honest I don't see a fit here at all
