Nils Hoglander scored two goals and Thatcher Demko made 34 saves in an exciting 4-3 shootout victory over the Winnipeg Jets.
The Canucks will host the Winnipeg Jets tonight without Travis Hamonic (out 2-3 weeks) and Oliver Ekman-Larsson (out at least a week).
As well, the Canucks have fired Assistant General Manager Chris Gear and Senior Director of Hockey Operations Jonathan Wall.

Thumbs up to Jim Benning for putting together an awesome team that is only going to get better. Too bad it was so long in coming or he would still have a job. Thatch is a wall out there. Amazing performance. Thumbs up to keeping the forecheck energy high and slowly developing some defensive structure and they were supporting the puck much better this game. It's a process and luck is on there side now. Very positive energy and therefor luck. The offense will get even better once their defensive structure improves. You could see that result tonight and with all those good offensive players it's just a matter of time before they score 5 goals a night and are really hard to beat. Fun stuff.
thumbs up to all the drinkers who spend 9$ a beer and make up for all the quiet non drinkers….without you guys you would hear crickets chirp.
Kind of an ugly win but I did expect it. Chiasson was brutal on the second jets goal. Bonehead back pass coming out of the d-zone. I would swear this guy was drunk before the game. I see his minutes were cut down to 8. I hope he collects splinters for that dumbness. Demko is a beast. I see Petterson got the S/O winner. He's going to pick up now. Sunday will be a great test. In my opinion the best overall team in the league will be here. Bruce there it is number 3.
