Wow! Too bad I missed this game. He did that on an icing? And then cross checked him in the face? I cant wait to watch game three. Im a Redwings fan so Ive been watching their games closely. You should check out their game 3. Kronwall totaly knocked Havlat out. I personally think it was a clean hit, but it is unfortunate that Havlat was hurt. Thanks for the video.
Yeah, the "hit" was clean (by clean I mean no elbow, no blow to the head), but I think he should've been called for charging instead of interference. I think however, that it is fair to give match penalty and majors when a player gets injured. Will Kronwall get a suspension for this?
Maybe because he just ran over a player who was not in possession of the puck (as far as I could see, havlat did not touch the puck before he got hit) and maybe therefore the major interference. But if havlat had not been injured, i wouldn't be surprised if the refs hadn't made the call. None of them raised their arms when the hit was delivered.
No suspension or fine that I know of for Kronwall. There wasnt even a whistle until they saw that Havlat was out. I think it was all pressure on te refs from the crowd lol. Well Chicago f'd up and tried to retaliate in game 4 today. They lost 6-1. Go WIIIIIIIIIIINGS!!!!!
Everyone is wrong, it was a delayed icing and Letang was going to get control and Bayda hit him late with an elbow. There was a rule in place so that defenders going back to stop the icing didn't get killed for this reason.

sfp4dvm welcome to the NHL, I have asked this question for years, and yes that is the way they determine a lot of suspensions.
