I had read, I think on the ESPN website, that Letang, Crosby and Malkin want to try and win one more Cup together. Someone in charge of the Pens needs to realize that that's probably not going to happen, and not be afraid of breaking up that trio. The mindset here should be winning, not being sentimental.

As I stated before, It was my opinion that Dubas wanted more authority than he had in Toronto, and , now, he has it as Prez of Hockey Ops in Pittsburgh—-Good Luck To Dubas in Pittsburgh, it'll be interesting to see how he handles that aging core and what he does to move them back into the playoffs.
Dubas is 37 and in five years he accomplishes one second round game win and already demands the sun and moon. That entitelement trickles down to everyone in the Leafs organization and it’s no wonder the core 4 got the salaries they did. Good riddance.

Bit surprised. I thought the delay on him signing was related to whom would be hired as President. Now it gets interesting… does he ask Leafs for permission to talk to Pridham? Have a feeling Pridham would be his 1st choice for GM. The Pen's current situation is going to very challenging. Let's see how Dubas does with a re-tool, which is brand new to him.
