Eichel roughing on Desharnais – Have your say!

Jack Eichel got engaged with Vinnie Desharnais and tangled up with the official. He emerged with a turnaround arm swing to the chops of Desharnais. He did get a two minute minor penalty for roughing. What do you think?

  1. Eichel should be suspended as this play clearly shows that he does not know the difference between MMA and hockey.

  2. lets take a moment to admire how every time edmonton gets a penalty taken against them they lay on the ice like they are dead. my dog does a similar trick.

if the officials were smart, they would have taken them both to make the statement that neither of this crap would be accepted. 90% of the BS in this series would end if they just took them both on these retaliation penalties (when warranted).

  3. How dare Eichel not let Desharnais run his face into the ice! Desharnais F'ed around and found out.

  4. 100% penalty. Edmonton got robbed this game. Unbelievable. From the suspensions to the reffing – Shows clear bias.

  5. Looks like the stadium sniper got him about half a second after Eichel backhanded him.

  6. Every play should be judged on its own merit. Whataboutism might be a valid argument if you are discussing trends in general or the overall effectiveness of DOPS or league mandates being applied. Is this a penalty? Of course, 2 minutes for roughing. Nuff said.

  7. elbow on the face, bunting got 3 games for elbowing to the head, unless face is not part of your head

  8. Butman's cap circumventers are the class of the joke the nhl has become. They pull crap like this each and every time the Oilers have owned them. I miss the Kings, they showed more pride and dignity. But hey, so long as butman gets what he wants.

  9. Roughing for sure. Eichel was butt hurt that he got the business from desharnais. But if you wanna punch someone, drop the gloves. Eichel always had a crappy attitude. He’s like that spoiled cousin who pisses and moans when he doesn’t get his way
