    So glad for Geno but I think Sid deserves an assist on his first goal for his ballet leap simultaneously getting out of the way of the rocket and screening the goalie. Thanks for mentioning it. Great stuff all the way all around!

    We will never see another two superstars in our life! Crosby and malkin are truly generational talent. Pay attention and enjoy it people because most teams never have this kind of talent!!!

    I am dying to see what this team is capable of if they can ever get truly healthy. Seems like every time a player started getting hot, they got shut down by injury or covid. And still they find ways to have someone else rise up to the occasion. Including that guy on #71 who was, somehow, going to kill the chemistry on the team he’s played for during 16 seasons. That goal with Sid’s jump screen was beautiful.

    I honestly believe we have a contender here. I wasn’t sold on Chad R being a top 6 Dman but he looks fine. Maybe get another guy incase there is injures but other than backup goalie I just don’t see a weakness. They can be a juggernaut even with missing 2-5 starters a game. I can’t imagine them fully healthy. I’m pretty pumped

    I just hope Malkin can play D hockey over the long term.

    Even though the defense hardly scores goals, I think those guys have contributed as much as anything to this team. They're involved on offense, they're not getting caught deep, their not taking bad penalties, they are really anchoring this team. Your offense is much more confident and aggressive when they trust their D to back them up.

    I dont think many people really questioned how Malkin would fit in. Given him being back to 100% he would fit right in where he has always fit right in because he is a special talent. What most impressed me about his play last night was how solid he was defensively and how he didnt turn the puck over (which is something he was always prone to do)..If this one game is any indication, Malkin may be even better than he was before which is a scary thought for the other teams.

    You’ve got to remember that Rusty was out due to Covid protocol. You get him back and move Rodriguez to second line and Carter to 3rd line and the line ups are “Fire”!
