Glad he won over Vasilevskiy – Vasilevskiy should have not been nominated based on numbers alone but the GMs love him. He only led in wins (which truly reflects a team effort) and didn't make the top 3 in any other substantial goaltending category including the most important save percentage.Among goalies with over 30 games played, Vasilevskiy was 4th in GAA (2.21), 4th in SVPCT (.925) & 4th in SO (5). By comparison, Fleury was 2rd GAA (1.98), 2rd in SVPCT (.928), & 3rd in SO (6); Grubauer was 1st in GAA (1.95), 6th in SVPCT (.922), & tied for 1st in SO (7)). Even Varlamov was better than Vasilevskiy and Grubauer (maybe tied with Fluery) being 3rd in GAA (2.04), 1st in SVPCT (.929), & tied for first in SO (7).
