Happy Monday! Hunter is back after a wedding weekend and first discusses the first firings that Kyle Dubas made when he became President of Hockey Operations. He looks at the three people that were let go and if Hunter was surprised by any of them not being there. After that, he gets confused as to why people are criticizing Dubas for coming into Pittsburgh and making quick changes since there were always going to be changes at some point. After all, he does have to bring in his own people, right? What’s the difference if it’s now vs a week or two from now? Following that, Hunter debunks the thought that there’s a “rivalry” brewing between the Maple Leafs and the Penguins before pondering a thought about which team the Penguins may want to copy regarding the front office structure. Finally, he ends the show with some Alex DeBrincat content and discusses whether the Penguins should give the Senators a call about the speedy winger.

I'm excited for Kyle's first transaction, but still might have to wait a little for it. Usually nothing really happens until the draft.

Hayley Wickenheiser might be considered for GM. She was a perennial star on the Canadian Olympic hockey team. Currently studying to be a Emergency Doctor in Canada.But she would be more in the role of assistant GM as she has no experience in the NHL.

Only in the fantasy world of the Toronto Media and fans is this a rivalry lol, they will blow anything out of proportion. The whole outrage of Dubus firing people, is ridiculous. Guess what, when Ron Hextall came here, he fired people hired by Jim Rutherford and when Jim Rutherford came here, he fired people hired by Ray Shero, again don't tell that to the Toronto Media lol.
Since Dubus is running things now, I could absolutely see him going after Alex DeBrincat. One thing we know about Dubus, he's not afraid to make a trade, see his moves this past year with Toronto in acquiring Ryan O'Reilly. One name to really look out for in free agency that I see Dubus bringing to Pittsburgh, Michael Bunting. I would love that move, Michael Bunting I think can be the equivalent piece that the Penguins lost in Brandon Tanev. He can play anywhere in the bottom 6 and can also play in the top 6. With Bunting being in Toronto, Dubus will target him, if Toronto doesn't sign him,

Yes, I think Dubus will go after someone in the top 6. I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to lure William Nylander from Toronto or maybe Timo Meier from the Devils, if they can't work out a contract. One other name I've heard linked to The Penguins, Nick Schmaltz. It looks like he will get traded by the Coyotes, and The Penguins are one of the teams linked. I also think they will target Dmitry Orlov from The Bruins as replacement for Brian Dumoulin. I've seen his name linked to The Penguins as well.
Hunter, you may have done this already but would be cool to have a list of what teams Kyle dealt with with most. Would be really cool (pretty sure Ottawa is one obviously and St Louis)
