The Canadiens and Cole Caufield finally have come to terms on a brand new contract for the star winger! Caufield put pen to paper on an eight year, $7.85 million a year deal which will keep him in Montreal until 2031! Great video guys can’t believe Caufield is signed for such a low price this is great for Montreal. I couldn’t be happier. I feel like this team is going to contend within the next two years for sure or we may get surprised and end up like the New Jersey Devils and just pop out of nowhere. But Montreal would have to sign some free agents to make the team better and they may not do that this summer.

I saw people compare the Caufield and Nylander contract and saying Nylander was so much better. Yeah Nylander is really good, but Caufield has a max year deal that buys 3 UFA years. The Nylander deal bought 0. The real difference is there
