I hope they get it done soon because I'm tired of hearing about it lol. Habs need to keep their salary structure at this juncture; Cole's obviously a better goal scorer than Suzuki but he isn't a better player.
The news that Caufield will not be signing for more than Suzuki is a breath of fresh air. I mean it all makes sense that Caufield shouldnt make more than 7.5m or so, but still you never know sometimes, lol
Habs direction keeps talking about the culture they're trying to create, and Pezzetta is absolutely what we need. Energy, work, and chances are he'll get a bit better and be a fantastic bottom 6 (maybe even find chemistry with Gallagher or Drouin?). For Caufield, I'm guessing a 7 x 7 contract is what will happen, or something really close.

Coughfield isn’t worth much. He should get at least 4 million for 5 or 8 years. He’s too small and gets injured because of it.
