  1. Dont make em like they used to,, still have my ccms,,older than these guys and never ever in almost 24 years seen thishappen..😊

  2. Bro my teammate in U12 travel hockey checked someone so hard on his fresh skates the skate blade came off

  3. I have the Marsblade I2 skate holder for ice on my hockey skates. The lock in system seems a bit more robust than other systems I've seen. I took a heavy shot to my left blade and it seemed pretty sturdy. 3rd time I've seen an NHLer lose their blade.

  4. Why is this happening so much this lately? I’m in my late 40’s and I can’t remember ever seeing blades come out of the skate as much as I have these last couple years? Happened to a goalie the other night as well. Gear is like 5 times as expensive now and apparently made to the equivalent of cheap kid toys. 😑

  5. The Lightspeed Edge Tuuk has a lot of issues with this. Bauer, hopefully, has it figured out with the next Tuuk.

This is also why True Hockey keeps insisting on not swapping the holders for Bauer Tuuks on their skates. It makes them look bad. People see the flashy chrome logo of True and then believe it's their issue.

To be fair, each skate mfg has their up and downsides. So far, CCM XS1 holders seem to hold up the best.

True Shift Max (not the original Shift) holders are a close second.

Marsblade is I2 holders/runners seem solid but have a lot of moving parts. They need a little more time to really know.

Same for Bauer… time will tell on their next solution.

Graf is still on the old bolt system. Solid build but inconvenient for swapping steel quickly.
