The Flyers have acquired goaltender Cal Petersen, defensemen Sean Walker and Helge Grans and a second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Los Angeles Kings. The Flyers also acquired a first-round pick (22nd overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft and a conditional second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for defenseman Ivan Provorov.

Love ya Rachel I listen every morning. I was livid at first because I thought it was provorov for Walker and Peterson…. But when I saw it was also a 1st, 2 seconds, and a decent prospect for a guy that HAS BEEN ON HIS WAY OUT I was thrilled. Great trade. And the Peterson thing isn't disastrous because it's only this year and next and we're gonna suck anyways.
Thank you Rachel for the update. Danny made a huge move. A lot of players involved. I agree with you it was phenomenal first step for Danny and the leadership team along with scouts etc.
Always a great show, Rachel. If the Flyers move Carter, I would interpret it as the step backwards to take two forward. Meaning, it's allowing for a bad season record-wise to build up some more draft capital (Dare I say, soft tank?) If Carter is moved, I could see them going with Errson and Sandstrom at goal. Cal Peterson would be better off with the Phantoms to see if his career can be revived. His stats have been awful. Helge Grans could be an interesting part of the trade, providing depth at the blueline. My question is what are the conditions for the 2nd round pick they received?
