    F5 button working overtime today

  2. magmar17

Send him to Edmonton for 2 1sts and call it a day

  3. TwoForHawat

Do it Danny. Prove that you know the meaning of the word “rebuild.”

  4. Mason_35

This better be a good trade, I’m all for trading Hart for something pretty good but as of now I’m seeing Hart and Provorov gone for two guys I could care less about and no picks…

Also if these two are gone then TK should be definitely getting sent out at that point, Hart for me was the last person I thought who would’ve been traded unless it was big.

  5. Not-Gritty

Sell everything, get all the picks we can and let’s do this proper. I’m Danny we trust

  6. LeshFlight

Hilarious we’re making franchise altering deals while our president is between the glass at the cup

  7. JoelHurts

Not so sure how accurate this is but if so I take it as a good sign

Even if you didn’t want to trade hart the fact that they are is a good sign for the rebuild

  8. Perryplat199

Sees last trade rumor: Woo Flyers making trades to rebuild.

This tweet: Wait not like that.

  9. In the last 25 years we will have traded the only 2 decent goalie prospects we’ve had in that entirety. Hart about become the next Sergui Bobrovsky

  10. SlapChopMyShamWow

Finally, a full-on rebuild. Hopefully Danny can do it right. Got a lot of mess from Chuck to fix.

  11. GravyBoatCapitan

Said it in the other thread. This guy knows shit. Pretends to be an insider.

  12. Send him to Toronto for one of their big pieces

  13. all_these_moneys

It needs to be done but mah hart, mah soul.

  14. WhatTheFarabee

I’m all for trading Hart if we get a HAUL, and I mean a HAUL. Hart is young enough he can stick around and will quite literally be in his prime in 4-5 years when we want to be good. If we trade Hart for 2 1sts and a B level prospect to a team like Edmonton that’s never gonna pick higher than 20 for the foreseeable future, I’d call this a nightmare

  15. 4for4philly

Tough pill to swallow but it’s the right move. He’s young, on a good contract, and would be wasting his prime here. Get as many assets as you can, these next few seasons are going to be tough but at least there’s a plan it seems

  16. DELCO-PHILLY-BOY

I’ll be honest, I think this is a mistake. A good goalie is inherently more valuable than any other player in isolation, unless that player is generational. I get he’s kind of on an island but it’s difficult to develop a goalie prospect, and chances are we end up having to trade for one down the line if we’re competing anyway. I get the importance of utilizing your assets but I hope he’s thinking long-term on this and not just blowing his load on a fairly easy return.

  17. There’s only 2 reasons I can think of that they’re doing this.

    1. The haul we’re getting has to be to good to pass on

    2. They approached him about an extension and he told them he wanted to wait and see how the team was looking

  18. Chriscftb97

Today is certainly a day to be a Flyers fan

  19. Steppyjim

As much as I don’t want to see Hart go, there’s no doubt he has the potential to bring us back something great. And after seeing what Danny got out of Provorov, I am excited to see what can be done.

Only problem is, as Charlie OConnor mentioned, it’s really hard to get a market value on goalies because quality and value are all over the place. Cmon Danny. Build on that hope

  20. morla74

This is stupid. Flyers are notorious for goalie problems, and they finally have a solution. Good goalies have longevity in their play, so even if the Flyers aren’t ready for another 5-6 years to contend, he’s still going to be good

  21. SUICIDE_BOMB_RESCUE

Would you guys trade Hart for Byfield in the return?

  22. Jimmy_October

I am glad for the kid.

    And gut punched.

  23. yungtrapfatgag

Absolutely moronic. Can’t fucking take it anymore. Goalies who are 24 with this much fucking potential dont grow on trees. We could rebuild and suck for 5 years and Carter would still be under 30. I fucking Hate this stupid fucking franchise. I fucking hate Danny Briere. I fucking hate Comcast.

  24. dirtshow

Unpopular opinion, what about Hart has shown he’ll be an above average goalie in the league other than he’s only 24? He had one good half season 4 years ago with either average to literally the worst goalie in the league sprinkled in between. He’s no rookie anymore

  25. plebs_are_needed

Hope we get a good return. Now we’ll get to watch him take Carolina over the hump or take Buffalo to the Cup Final in the next few seasons.

I just want a good Flyers team again 🙁

  26. HockeyNightinJungle

Mistake. Don’t give a fuck about the haul, by the time a rebuild would be over, he’d still be like 28. And if you STILL suck by that time, you’d be rebuilding again anyway.

  27. BounceMan69

It better be for Connor Bedard or some young star, I swear to God, why would which trade the first elite goaltender we’ve had in 50 years

  28. gregcigarettes19

They better suck so bad next year

  29. YEGGSnBACON

This is a mistake. Hart should be the last one you think about trading in a rebuild at this point.

  30. shelf13

If they will get a haul for him, and think Ersson is just as good (sounds like they do), it’s the right move. Assets are more valuable to a rebuilding team than an above-average starter.

  31. Mugglecostanza

I’m really really worried about this. For years the flyers never had a goaltender. We finally have one. I’m scared.

  32. calhounmaciej69

Are you crazy? That is horrible. Didn’t we learn from our previous mistakes. We already made a mistake letting Sergei Bobrovsky go in 2012. That 11 years ago. Where is he now? Goalies don’t develop till later.

  33. Unrequited_Burner

Kevin Hayes should be moving first before Hart imo

  34. jlando40

As long as it’s for a haul or a trade up

  35. pcserenity

VERY few people are talking about the reality of the situation. Hart may like Philly, but that doesn’t mean he’s okay with hanging out for 5 (or likely MORE) years of utter crap while we get to where we need to be going. I have to wonder if local fans have lost track of what a full rebuild really feels like.

It’s extremely likely we’d have him for one more season and then he’s out of here to go actually win games — and the market will know it.

  36. ohokayiguess1

Carter Hart is 24 fucking years old. If they trade this kid they are absolute morons
