lol
tapeing the stick starts at 2:09
You could also rub the stick tape with a puck to make it darker. Not quite black but a dark grey. This also helps protect your stick tape from gashes.
Should tape indoors – better adhesion from the tape
Wrong way
In my opinion
What stick do you use?
2:07
What curve
Too much comment
You filmed this at the Humber Valley Outdoor Rink in Toronto
sir your country name
I do the exact same tape job!!! Good Video!!
Age old discussion
Stick Length …
No wax?
Where the hell is that hockey pond.
I need that in my life
I've never seen the toe done like that, interesting. I use scissors, i don't like any folds or bumps
We must have gone to the same Stick taping class… Right down to using the old tape to clean the blade off of old glue etc.. I do use scissors to cut the tape at the toe so it's perfectly clean looking..
What curve is that stick
Does any soak there tape after taping there stick so it stick better lol I do lol it seem to help stay better lol
White tape makes it easier to pick up the puck off the stick for goalies. Black tape makes it harder to see coming off the stick in my experience, if you want an edge.
Really helpful, thank you!!
best video on youtube
As a goalie I am fully supportive of white tape or most bright colors of tape. Some of the hardest shots to stop are quick release snaps off perfectly smooth black tape. All kidding aside, this is a tiny edge. You are not giving up THAT much by using whatever tape you want. But half of beating a goalie is a mind game anyways so… at least that's how I felt about it as the one stopping the shots.
I had to listen to the ending 4 times and I still can't believe my ears. You are the exact opposite of a crappy stick handler. 👍
I just discovered the toe tape trick. Neat!
Thank you for your transfer of knowledge through time on the ice.
Hi.I am a newbie💪
Wondering how often should I replace the tape?🙇
No tape on the bottom of blade for extra protection? I use renfrew extra wide tape. Takes about 8-10 wraps and she’s done.
Lol…I always tape the toe because sticks ain’t free!🤣
wow thank you so much you helped me alot
What are your thoughts on wax? Lots? A little? Educate me a little
Going over to white tape on the blade next week. Will let you know if it makes me any less terrible at stick handling 😜
I agree that slick is slick.
Sometimes you have to understand the elements you are working with, on or for.
The best traction is always going to be knowing your environment first.
With the least amount of insight or resources.
Respect your ground and you will unleash a level of certainly.
The Bible said that you will either return to the ground that you wish ro walk upon or you shall inherit that.
Did this guy play NHL?
Sean was so laid back in this era! 🙂 The greatest hockey coach and resource on the internet. Thanks a million for all the vids.
Do a tutorial on how to wrap a stick blade with rainbow colored tape please
