Montreal Canadiens Potential 2023 NHL Draft Targets
TSN’s Craig Button joins Marco D’Amico of Montreal Hockey Now to discuss some of the prospects potentially available to the Montreal Canadiens if they remain where they are in the NHL Standings.
Drafting for need over talent like Button is suggesting is incrdibly stupid. If benson is the best player available at 5 you take him, regardles of his size
Will Smith at 5th or 6th would be a wise pick. I would focus more on offence this draft, especially with our picks in the first round. Another guy I like is E.Sale, really had a strong junior tournament.
With Caufield gone for the rest of the year (about 20-30 goals gone with the goal differential), we can look at the top three picks next year. Hopefully, they will also have a coach who give a fuck about the defense.
Depending where we pick Id go for 1. Bedard 2. Fantili 3. Michkov 4. Carlsson 5. Benson 6. Smith 7. Christall 8. Wood 9. Dvorsky 10. Sandin-Pelikka If we can get another 1st rd pick on top of Florida's Id love to get one of Reinbacher, Dragicevic or Musty.

If we don't win the draft, I'm hoping for Benson/Smith with Sandin-Pelikka/Reinbacher with our 2 first round picks.

I'd like Benson/Dvorsky/Yager/Smith if we're not top 4 and with the Panthers pick: Cristall, Barlow, Danielson, Moore, Leonard

Leo Carlson looks lile an absolute homerun imo. Bedard is a no-brainer.
