Go play in Switzerland then I guess.
Quelle suprise! Bon voyage.
Not surprised. He’s played like he absolutely checked out in playoffs. I think it’s time we move on from him and hopefully get someone who actually wants to play here!
Garbage franchise
Bye bye, Pubois. 💩
Fun offseason coming up I suppose (hope) ((please)) (((i just want to be happy)))
Had flashes of brilliance this season, but ultimately didn’t perform when it mattered cause he didn’t care enough.
What an entitled shit he is. I miss Laine
Buffalo made out alright for Eichel, I expect the Jets to receive a similar package for Dubois. I’ll miss his goal song. Heeeeeeeey baby, ho-ha, I wanna knooooow, if you’d be my girl?
Lmao the guy who hasn’t even cracked 65 points or 30 goals acting like this. Get him the fuck out of here. Time to feel this roster who guys who want to be here.
Hope he enjoys losing in Montreal for the next 5+ seasons
Trade him to the team Tortz is coaching
How long until he quits on Montreal after the media ruins his life game 1 for turning the puck over once
welp, im glad i never picked up his jersey after having 3 of Laines
I just want him gone already. When he decided to play, he was great. I’m sick of his attitude towards playing in Winnipeg and taking nights off.
Excerpt from The Athletic article by Lebrun:
**Dubois wants a trade this summer**
Pierre-Luc Dubois and his camp informed the Jets a year ago that they weren’t inclined to sign long-term, and now my understanding is that veteran agent Pat Brisson has let Winnipeg know that it’s probably best to move on this summer rather than do a one-year deal with the restricted free agent and stretch this out further.
In short, they’ve let the Jets know that Dubois won’t re-sign with them this summer and are hoping the sides can work together to facilitate a trade that works for everyone.
The Jets are well within their collective-bargaining-agreement rights to control Dubois’ rights for another year (he’s arbitration eligible) before he becomes a UFA, no question about it. And I believe that’s among the options general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff believes he still has in front of him. But so is trading him, either this summer as the player would prefer or at next season’s trade deadline.
But all things being equal, working with Brisson to get a trade done this summer makes the most sense, as long as the offers are fair. They’re not interested in trading him at a discount. Teams will need to step up in the Jets’ eyes to get this done.
What we don’t know at this point, is just how adamant Dubois will be about getting this resolved this summer. Enough to sit out the start of the season? My sense is everyone involved hopes it doesn’t get to that point. Again, I think Brisson wants to work with, not against, the Jets to get a trade done.
And yes, the Habs remain an interested party. I believe Montreal GM Kent Hughes is making his rounds and has already checked in with Winnipeg on Dubois. Having said that, I don’t think Montreal is interested in paying a fortune in a trade, especially when you consider the player as of now would be a UFA in a year and any team could sign him then without giving up an asset.
But yes, the Canadiens will be among the teams staying on the Jets and Dubois. They’re not alone, though. There are a few teams looking at it.
I don’t remember a more gutless or irritating player who’s worn a Jets sweater. Can’t wait to see him gone.
Back to Columbus
Sure am glad we traded for this guy. I wish it was public info on what deals cheveldayoff had turned down in favor of pld. A guy that quit on his first team then basically quit on a second team all because he had designs of Montreal since his draft.
