Yep, as suspected, the Kings used the money difference from the recent trade to resign Vlad Gavrikov. IMHO, the Jets would be foolish to trade Hellebuyck, but, I guess it depends on the deal and what they would get back for him. My guess was that Carter Hart would go to the Sabres, but I heard on the Eeenz n Beenz Hockey Podcast about Hart possibly going to the Ottawa Senators—have you heard anything anywhere else about Hart and the Senators? Goalies changing teams ? Anyone want Binnington ? The Blues could use a change in net IMHO.
I agree Leafs should upgrade in goal. Unfortunately they are so imbalanced thanks to the core 4 contracts they are really limited in making any substantial moves. Plus they have very little draft capital and blue chip prospects to deal.
Money talks it’s a matter of who’s got the room and who is looking to shed a contract! The goalie shuffle is a dangerous game you need a solid 1-2 but always need a 3 rd who’s capable! Every one wants a big time goalie but someone always over pays!
I think Markie and the Flames will be better; with Sutter out of the way, i think the team will be able to have fun and just play. I think they should move on from Vladar and get Wolf on the roster.

I can see why the Habs would be interested in Carter Hart because they really need help in the pipes. Habs don't have a bonefide #1 goalie. Jake Allen has not been reliable. Sam Montembault has surprisingly improved significantly from a couple of years ago….wow…. he's lights out better last year than from before and he really looked good at the Worlds helping Canada wing the gold medal!
Habs definitely need a true #1 and I hope they land a good, solid goalie and keep Monty and trade Allen.
