Great podcast. Your analysis of the Bergeron situation was spot on. Where else were/are the Bs going to get one of the top ten centers in the league? Not mentioning the cap situation, this just show how bad "Jones & Mego's negative Bergeron take" is. I am not sure Adam Jones knows anything about hockey, but he does know how to create controversy where none should exist. Bergeron is still a great player and leader. His contract was incredibly team friendly. We would be lucky to get him back. I'm sure Adam Jones can find us a comparable replacement for the same money…NOT!! Thank you for your very sane take on a Bruins team that still has an awesome core.
By the way, when I refer to the core currently, I am referring to Pasta, McAvoy, Linholm, Hall, and DeBrusk. Most teams would be very happy with that core.

I'm saddened about the legacy of this core. Bergeron, Marchand, Krejci, they had their chance to sit at the same table as Orr, Bucyk, Esposito, et al. and they blew it.
If Cassidy ends up winning the cup, it makes the Bruins players look terrible. He's a great coach and it takes "buy in" to win. As soon as one of the players starting to question it, a good team leader should have stepped in and had the coach's back. Instead, they went crying to the GM at the end of season interviews and got a great coach fired.
