Personally would have gone with Leonard at 9 and Yager or Edstrom at 17 here but love Perron at 42.

Not a chance we draft barlow

Is wheeler the hack the tripled down on seider not being a good pick before relenting and admitting he was wrong?

I’m sure it’s mostly due to his interest in it, but I love the idea that the Wings have been so bad throughout Bultman’s tenure at the athletic that he’s also been a go to prospect writer along with Pronman and Wheeler since he has to focus so much on the red wings pipeline of the future and the draft until we get better

I’d really prefer Moore or Leonard at #9.

Since I can’t view the article, I’m just going to assume that bedard falls to us at 9. Lol

Where is Michkov being drafted at? (I don’t subscribe)
I’m betting he goes 4

Smith at 3 would surprise me. I don’t see him having the off puck game to stick at center at the NHL level and I think Columbus is wanting to come away with a center at that pick.

Columbus desperately wants a C, let’s pass on Carlsson for the guy who’s likely to play RW in the nhl, and not even Michkov. Smith is an insane talent, but he’s not a C, Bedard isn’t either if you’d like a hot take. I don’t agree with pretty much any of these slotted picks

The guy they have us picking at 9th usually goes after 20th and all the way up to 29th in scouts ratings

There is something about Barlow that I just don’t like. Maybe it’s that he looks like he’s 30 years old already. I don’t know.
Huge_Deke19
Anyone around 9 playing in an adult men’s league currently? Cause that’s who the wings are picking.

One nice thing about this kind of an exercise is that having 3 different people picking more accurately reflects the difference of opinion that exists between NHL teams. This goes to show that it doesn’t take much for Leonard to fall to 9, and Pellikka or Wood to fall to 17.

Quite excited the more I see Barlow coming to us at 17, though I know these mocks have little bearing on the real draft results to come.
All that said, let’s get us some howitzers from the wings baby.
Also Sandin-Pellika would similarly get me quite excited at 17 should we be so lucky.

As much as it would be incredible to make a convenient trade up happen and nab Michkov, that same line of thinking in my head means everyone else would also be foolish not to pick him after 2OA, or even 1OA depending on your appraisal.
