As a Sharks fan, I'm used to seeing the refs "miss" blatant penalties like this, this year. What's better is when they stretch and call seriously BS penalties. The Sharks vs Kraken game was a great example.
I don't know if it's the refs or Toronto, but something is really really off with game calling this year. I would hope it isn't a larger game fixing conspiracy. But, as we've seen with the Blackhawks scandal, the NHL isn't above doing whatever it takes to get desired results.
It was a clear penalty but it should not matter how many penalties a team takes. This "were getting one because they did" that's been the norm for eternity needs to stop. SDPN and many other podcasts have been hilighting this well this year. Officials are a joke
The Officials have missed a shit load of calls in the past few years. Either the league can't find quality referee's or the game has gotten to fast for them to process infractions in real time.
Thank god the fans and commentators aren’t NHL officials. The guy clearly steps on the stick blade. That’s why there’s no penalty. Just watch the game don’t try to be something ur not.

remember hedmans late game tripping call vs the isles in the stanley cup semifinals last playoffs? this was far more blatant, in the regular season, and with the wild being significantly down on powerplays. istg the same thing happened to fox against vegas a few days ago when he got tripped on the blue line leading to a vegas breakaway, the officiating this season is so bad.
This is something that we in “ flyover “ country are used to , not just in hockey but football too ! It is simply manipulation of standings in the end and it’s all about the money after all and big market teams are where it’s at……
Calls like these are not missed! Refs have agendas against certain teams & players for whatever reason! Its been like this for the duration of the league!
