Pickett got two weeks, McAdams got three for their bumps. Now I'm a fan of Pickett, love watching him play, but he launched himself like a topedo at Smiths head. Shoulda been 4 weeks. McAdams' bump, he practically stops, then launches. 3 weeks is fair.
Now, i sincerely hope Hewitt is ok, but you can see Degoey is an in play action. Wrong decision?…. For sure. Malicious act?… Nah! The turn of the head and closed eyes is a brace for contact, no intention to hit high. If Jordy gets more than 2 weeks off, then the MRP is a farce.

I am staggered at the uproar over de Goey's decision. It was a split-second action that to me looked as though de Goey was clearly bracing himself when he saw he had arrived too late to stop the handball. Perhaps he could have tried a smother, but it looked to me like he felt his momentum was so great that he had to do something about the inevitable collision. As he is a big man, he will clearly have to learn how to roll out of the way of the vulnerable parts of other players around him, but he should not be condemned. I agree with his coach who described him as a fair player.
Commentators seem to have little grasp of the laws of physics, especially with their defamatory accusations of 'flopping' or 'staging'when a player is hit, pushed or nudged in the direction their momentum and/or balance is taking them.

Guys Iām an eagles fan and when Gaffy cheapshotted young Brayshaw with that punch in 2018, I was furious and I wanted him out of the team (I put bias aside on principle). Enough time has moved on now over that stupid act, but it was still disgraceful. Pies fans should only be angry at one person over this, and that is Jordan De Goey himselfā¦ he is a guy with so many gifts and talented, he has been given a million lifelines from Collingwood and intentionally ārepays the favourā by intentionally aiming at a young kids head (letās just call it as it is).
I donāt see anyone else except Collingwood winning the flag this year, and the only way I think that wonāt happen is with nonsense like this

Imagine if an Eagles player ironed out Scott Pendlebury…imagine the outrage from the Victorian Centric media ..it would be like killing Bambi…because it's a West coast 18 year old kid the VICS go nothing to see here … he degoey could have tackled ..at launch stage as in launching into bump Hewitt had the ball…he had a clear alternative.
