The Buffalo Sabres WILL Have Success Next Year (Conor Sheary / Casey Mittelstadt / Rasmus Dahlin)

In light of the recent Conor Sheary trade which sent Sheary and Hunwick to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a conditional fourth round pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins, I wanted to take some time to discuss the absolute great things the Sabres have in store for next year.

Hi. I’m legorocks99Gaming (Otherwise known as “legorocks99,” “LR99Gaming,” or simply “LR99”). An average teenager that posts video game commentaries on YouTube. I’m still very young, and the fact that I make videos on YouTube is pretty much the only difference between myself and the stereotypical teenager. I enjoy making YouTube videos and I hope that you enjoy watching them!

  1. I’d prefer the another Nylander, but I hope I’m wrong. I live in Rochester and watched em quite often & I’m hopeful that his lack of scoring goals with the Amerks was a glitch. 18 goals (4-EN) in 116 games is a bit underwhelming. Hopefully he’s better than ZemGisWorstI’veEverSeenSon

  2. If the sabers get a goalie I can see how they could miss the playoffs. Reinhart had a great end, Eichel, mittlestadt, nylander, now sheary, they still have O’Reilly that gives them an amazing top 6 along with the d with the double Rasmus Ristolainen and dahlin they truly cannot fuck it up.

  3. Hopefully lol. Sabres are my second favorite team so thatd be awesome. Hopefully we can see sabres vs nucks stanley cul rivalry in the future

  4. Also, Reinhart scored 37 points in his last 41 games of the season. Imagine if he's finally reached his potential, that's a 60-70 point winger right there. Even Alex Nylander looked good in the few Sabres games he played at the end of the season. The future is starting to look bright in Buffalo.

  5. I think Sabers still need a goaltender. Like a quality goaltender. Then they can make some noise in the post season.

  6. Put me down for $100. No way is Buffalo doing ANYTHING this year. I bet they finish in the bottom five.

  7. I appreciate the kind words, expansion brother. Nylander has be worried yet. I know he was hampered by an injury for much of last year, but he is missing developer camp this year because of it, still. Many of us are starting to doubt his potential impact but hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised. But as of right now, looking at the success of those picked after him, it’s looking like another example of GMTM misusing a first round pick.

  8. Sabers just need that elite tendy so they can really be a force to be recon with. They are going to be interesting to watch this year.

  9. All they really need now is more players. Last year their bottom 6 looked like an AHL top 6 and I could see them in the hunt for a playoff spot but likely not in the playoffs.

  10. I think you're forgetting one key part of their plan, GOAL TENDING they may be very top heavy and Lehner is still a free agent who is probably wont re sign

  11. Without a starting goalie they aren't passing the leafs, bruins, Tampa Bay, or even Florida. Those four teams alone make the Sabres miss the playoffs.

  12. It looks like we are trading nylander and O Rielly to the blues for one of the best prospect in the nhl a first round pick and some other prospects witch is good for buffalo

  13. Sheary means you can toss out a player who can't break 20 goals and you slide Sheary in his spot: nothing special, but easy upgrade… probably looking at 19-22 goals. Mittelstadt looks like he has almost as much skill as Eichel but is going to need to put on some weight and learn the ropes this season… I say 15-18 goals for him. Reinhardt is a coin toss, we have no idea which player is going to show up… so call it 20 goals. Nylander has a really bad reputation and I'm sorry I just don't see him being on the team very long, but if he doesn't get traded call it 13-16 goals. Eichel will get even better this year, maybe breaks 30 goals with the help of the next guy I'm going to mention. Dahlin, people are apeshit to think he's going to be like McDavid, it's like they forget he plays D not O and he's going to have a tough time adjusting to the North American game but he will show flashes of brilliance all year… 15-18 goals and contends for the Calder. O'Reilly… might not be here, but if he is, has a similar year to last year. Goaltending: We are in HELL and have been since Hasek/Miller/Biron. Total surprise player? Evan Rodrigues; dude indicated he can be a full-time NHL'er last season, showed he really wanted it… 20 goals, possibly 45-50 points.

  14. If we can land hutton without moving orielly buffalo will be pushing a playoff appearance.

  15. Lets not forget Rasmus Asplund, Victor Olofsson, Cliff Pu and even Marcus Daviddson to round out our bottom six in the next year or two

  16. Honestly you are a year off. "Next Year" didnt turn out too well. But with addition of Jeff skinner, with a year older Sheary ,Dahlin,Middelstadt And whoever they get to replace Ryan O'riley because he did eventually did get traded the rest of the Nhl. Better look out Sabres will be playoff bound in 2020.
