  1. Surprised you did not include Dale Hawerchuk, Miroslav Satan, and Jay McKee as honorable mentions.

  2. Respect for putting peca my favorite player. Funny I finally get a peca jersey and now everyone is gonna have number 27 because Levi took it hahaha

  3. Anytime we start a video off with "I'm really ticked off guys" we are in for a good video

  4. I agree with all the names mostly.. though Fogolin would be my only addition.. but who to swap with on D would be tough… in goal, that other great #30 would be my #3.. just because he got us to a cup final as well.. though we've had some really good goalies through the years… Barasso was really good.. but here in buffalo he was holier than thou towards out team.. Pitt had too much star power that he was humbled but here he was a diva… kinda like a certain forward we had that is now in the finals…

  5. It would be interesting to compare this list with something say 10 years in the future. I have a feeling a couple guys on the current roster will eventually some day bump guys (great as they are) off the list. Perreault will forever be No. 1 for me.

  6. Old Cliff Fletcher had a knack of trading magic beans for HOF players into Toronto. Ask Calgary about the Gilmour deal too. Damn, when you see the quality Buffalo has possessed over the years you have to wonder why theres not 1 championship. 🤔 Personally I'd include Satan as I really felt he was underrated when carrying the Sabres paltry scoring back then. But this team would certainly frighten any in history including the Montreal all stars of the 70's. 😊
Barrasso did his best work in Pittsburgh. Buffalo's best 80's goalie was probably Sauve. (Though Puppa had a good run) my 3rd stringer would be a spin of a coin between Crozier and Edward's.
Who would be coach and or GM of this monster? 😋

  7. I'd throw Ray or May in there as an extra. Gonna need them some nights.Otherwise great team.

  8. Can you tell Quebec to put the fires out and thin the forests next time, my lungs are killing me from the smoke

  9. Grant Fuhr got us out of first rd for first time in a decade. Without that trade we probably lose as usual with Andreychuk doing nothing as usual in playoffs

  10. French connection top line

    Vanek Lafontaine Mogilny

    Skinner Thompson Tuch

    Drury Briere Pominville

    Ramsey Dahlin

    Hajt Schoenfeld

    Mckee Housely

    Hasek

    Miller

  11. Hey Waynesy..How about a video on The Best NHL Players that NEVER won a Cup???? Thank you brother!
    Go Sabres!!!

  12. Yeah the goalies were an absolute no-brainer 🤣I'd maybe have put Tage Thompson ahead of Vanek (Tage has played on the wing at times), but other than that, it's a great looking roster.

  13. Martin Perreault Robert
    Andreychuk Lafontaine Mogilny
    Hawerchuk Peca Gare
    C. Ramsay Drury Brier
    Luce Foligno
    Defence:
    Hajt Schonfeld
    M. Ramsey Dahlin
    Housley Korab
    Mckee
    Goalies :
    Hasek Miller
Honourable mentions that no one will mention
Ric Seilling/ Mike Bossy. If only they had drafted Bossy! Muliple Cup wins then!!
    Tony Mckegney
    Larry Playfair
    Don Edwards
Great topic Wayne and yes im as old as dirt like you are 😂😂

  14. This is a great list. Me personally, I would have added Campbell instead of Power. Power is going to be a great player for us

  15. Fun list but I'd take out Schoenfeld for McKee, Korab for Zhitnik and Luce for Hawerchuck. Why? 1) Schoenfeld met his future wife after a few very good seasons for the Sabres and she didn't like him fighting. After that he was never the same player and opposing players knew it. One of the main reasons Buffalo lost to Carolina in 2006 was that Jay McKee had a leg infection. Enough said.
    2) The big Russian bear. Zhitnik was a human being on tree trunks. He could skate like Paul Coffey, play a ton of minutes, be as calm as Zen and never ever broke a sweat. One of the best pure athletes the Buffalo Sabres ever had. Korab was good. Pretty tough but plodding. 3) Look I love Luce but with Peca and Ramsay already on Waynes list I'd go with Dale Hawerchuck who could also play defensive. What a hockey player he was. RIP Dale. With all the talent the Sabres have had over the last 53 years it is amazing they haven't won a cup! Our time is coming….

  16. Eichel didn’t have an impact, let me pick Power and his one year. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t pick Eichel either but that’s a BS reason. Ramsey belongs next to Luce.
