#Update from [Dhali](https://twitter.com/dhaliwalsports/status/1667271718292062211?s=46&t=7fabqgtgp69dNA1d51vxFw): Sounds like they are leaning towards doing the surgery.
Bear is an RFA currently negotiating his next contract with the Canucks.

Hopefully he gets surgery and comes back like a dented can of soup. Still the same quality, but a little cheaper.
Watch this be a nagging shoulder injury then we sign him to a long term deal. đ
Yeesh, sucks for Bear.
I get playing for your country and all, but probably not the best idea if your contract situation is in flux. Secure the bag first.
Maybe Canucks should stop going to this tournament, they seem to get injured a lot.
He needs to get the surgery and recover properly. No more nagging injuries and pushing guys to return too early, ffs
Wondering if this means we see a 1 year deal. ~2.5ish.
Bear becomes UFA at the end of the deal, Van minimizes risk.
Rest well king. You’re going to come back and be a powerplay beast
