It’s weird he was drafted when I graduated high school and in a weird way I know we didn’t know each other I feel like I strangely grew up with Damon… I dunno might sound dumb and he’s immensely more successful and relevant than I could ever hope but it’s weird to think he’s no longer with the team. I’m happy for him

Like we are WE signing his contract to trade him? Why wouldn’t we just trade him outright and let columbus handle his new contract?

Happy that Sevo got his bag and I will always love him, but wtf was he thinking with Columbus. Babcock sounds like a grade A asshole and a terrible coach to play for. Only 1 active coach that’s worse than him and it’s a former CBJ coach

We were lucky enough to get to talk with him for a few minutes at an event and he was the most soft spoken, polite, and humble gentleman. Always carried himself with class with the media. My gf definitely fell in love and so did I. Wish him nothing but the best in Columbus.

Man , I’m gonna miss Sevo. I’ve been a fan since his very 1st game here in NJ and he was just basically the future of our team when the walls started crumbling down.
Can’t believe how long it’s been.
AND I can’t believe how well he played in playoffs! Like way to fucking step up ! I always knew he had it but it was oh so sweet to see it!
Anyways, Columbus are taking a pretty big gamble here paying him so much for and max term but I guess they’re desperate. I’d say it’s a medium risk/ high reward move.
I can def see them having the same woes during regular season because how spectacular Sevos mistakes can seem , but he def earns that money when they hit playoffs.
