  1. Now domi is gone, what about danault? And I say that because he's not thrilled because they expect him to play as a 3rd line center.. I mean obviously I wouldn't trade danault because he's a great 2 way forward and I see him achieving a selke trophy probably in the future but if he thinks he's a number 1 center, then I disagree with that, I think Suzuki has better offensive instincts than danault to be a number 1 center, that is just a fact to me no doubt..

To me depending on what happens, it's going to be either danault or kothieniemi that is mostly going to play mostly as a 2nd line center and if danault turns out to be a 3rd line center because kothieniemi has earned that spot then I could see danault for sure wanting out no doubt or he might accept his 3rd line role if the team does end up having a lot of success..

  2. When Montreal had a boatload of cap space did you picture, an overpaid 5 d man, a backup goalie, and a power forward off a injury plagued poor year in and domi out?

  3. we thought the galchenyuk trade was bad and it turned out great for us so let’s just hope Anderson does great for us

  4. What happens if Domi sits out the year for whatever reason? A 3rd round pick for Josh Anderson isn't too bad a deal.

  5. Honestly i'm a Habs fan and i like the trade ! Anderson will bring so much more physical plays than Domi. Forwards on this team are way to small , it's about time ! Domi is just a turnovers machine anyways…

  6. We better be planning something else. I'm not mad about the trade but I am hoping we do something with our cap space.

  7. In his best season, Anderson had less points per game than Domi in his worst season with us. In order for this trade to be only decent, we need Josh to be healthy, which is quite the if. I am not hyped about this trade whatsoever. It doesn't make the habs better, and there sure as hell is a good probability that it's going to make us worse. Let's hope I'm wrong.

  8. Gonna miss Domi a lot and i feel bad for him leaving a canadian market. It's also odd because Domi and Anderson are close friends.

  9. Such a weird package. If it was Anderson and a 3rd for Domi that's make an amount of sense. I mean Domi doesn't fit Juliens style of play so I get why they'd want to move on. But Domi has proven multiple times he can be productive, and he's a center which has value in and of itself. So to trade him for a winger who's coming off of an injury plagued season who in his best years is about as productive as the center in his worst years…and you throw in a sweetener for some reason? This deal makes less sense than the Kings taking on Mattas contract and getting nothing for for taking the bad contract back. What are these GM's thinking right now?

  10. If anderson signs for less money than domi i dont see how its bad at all. Leaves bergevin more room to make moves, sign players or a big free agent

  11. Well I wanted Anderson… but not without a player like Domi to play with.
Domi/Anderson would have made teams cry. We lost the trade .. We lost skill and got back some grit.
MB better have some master plan. If we don't go hard for Cirelli…. Rejean Houle=MB

  12. Well, Anderson is a big boy, not a center (which is a good thing since Montreal has a solid center roster) plus he is still young and he’s cheap. Montreal won the deal in my viewz

  13. I think this is a good trade for Montreal. Wish Anderson was going to Vancouver. Large power forward who can skate. Battles hard, big hitter and will fight for your team. He makes lots of room. Vancouver needed him more than OEL.

  14. Another idiotic move by the Canadiens… Josh Anderson scored 4 goals last year. He is not a power forward, a power pylon or a power punching bag maybe.

  15. I think the habs got the better player in this deal. I have a gut feeling that Anderson is going to fit in perfectly in Montreal and possibly be a favorite there and being a habit for a long time.

  16. give you props this time legorocks99. you havent like others gone and gave their knee jerk reaction to this trade. We know what Domi is. He will have his good games and have his bad. I like Max. Unfortunately its a pro game and he lost his spot to 2 younger guys going forward. A team just cant afford the money Domi will want and play 3rd or 4th line centre. Being on a team with Danault, KK & Suzuki he found himself as odd man out. Domi is an offensive guy. He needs to be top 6. Like in Arizona for 3 yrs and last year in Montreal his pro game as a winger just doesnt cut the top 6 grade. Let him go where he is a better fit. As for Anderson although 26 people need to remember this guy came into the NHL as a defenseman. He has only been playing forward for 3 yrs or so. Look at what he has done. He still is shooting upwards with how good he could get too. Yes injuries were a problem last year. Playing thru head, knee and then the shoulder injury knocked him out. His 26 games played were a lot not in his usual top 6 spot. He is so valuable to BlueJackets with that big body flying down the wing he played hurt and was clearly not the player he had been the previous 3 yrs learning to play forward. dont hang MB just yet., a yr from now we might be saying domi who??? Plus your talk on the value of habs picks was right on the money. we have the best prospect pool in the NHL. everyone needs to remember a team can only sign 50 players to a contract. thus once draft picks are done jr or ncaa the team either must sign them or lose them…….MB has like 13 or 14 picks this yr again. he can afford to throw away a 3rd to get the power forward he needs badly for this undersized forward group. Hey we have 2 forwards over 6ft….Anderson and KK are both 6'3 and KK might still grow hes young enough!!haha

  17. I love Josh's size, speed and skill set. I have no problems with this trade except for Josh's questionable durability.

  18. This trade will age like milk for the Habs, Bergevin must be hittin the pipe or theres a brown paper bag in here somewhere..

  19. Its sad to see Domi go, but we ran out of room for him and a healthy Anderson is what the habs need. Assuming we are getting a fully healthy Anderson, I think he'll be a big success in the team, and provides that second line RW goal scorer we need. I do wonder who is linemates might be though..

  20. I think Domi might have been a problem in the dressing room and had a problem with the coach Claude Julien He’s been put on the fourth line in the bubble of playoffs and he was late to show up And how come I haven’t seen no comments from other players saying wish him luck in Columbus. So it’s gonna be very interesting show to watch with Tortorella lol
