To CBJ:
2023 11th overall + Demko + Beauvillier/Podkolzin/Hogs
To VAN:
2023 3rd overall + Merzlikins
Merzlikins was a CBJ starter that fell out of favor. Ian Clark would fix his game and fill the role of starter in Van next season and be a good goalie tandem to grow with Silovs as both are Latvians. The money also works as CBJ is close up to the cap too.
Kyle sounds like he took a helium hit from a ballon whenever he talks.
Bear is more of a 5th or 6th d-man and should be used as such. When you sign someone like Bear to a $2.2 million (regardless of whatever stupid team might sign him to a deal like that if he ends up as a UFA because of the thin UFA d-men market), you're going to have problems.
That, combined with the 2 AHL d-men in OEL and Myers is a big reason why the Nucks are so bad defensively. Don't oversell on Bear. Nucks need to underpaid or pay what the player's actually worth. It's not like Nucks don't have enough overpaid players on their roster.
Edit – Btw, my favorite wrestlers were Sting, Lugger and of course Stone Cold. Also, gotta give mad mad props to Mick Foley and the Hardy bros. They were insane in the amount of pain they endured to give great wrestling performances. Loved all the TLC matches involving the Hardy boys.
