Marc-Andre Fleury Unable To Stop Kyle Connor Goal After Losing Glove Mid-Play

Watch as Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury loses his glove during the middle of a penalty-kill after contact with Winnipeg Jets forward Blake Wheeler, and Kyle Connor takes full advantage by firing the puck past Fleury for a goal.

  1. Flury was trying to get a whistle to stop play, stuck his own hand in there and let it get pulled off the ref wasn't buying the crap and let play go on the defender has every rite to his space and flury was interfering with him. Good no call and I have no skin in this game!

  2. Should've been a penalty on WPG for interference. Some of these rules/non-rules are so insane to me

  3. Ref needs to be fired. If a goalie breaks a hand bc play isnā€™t stopped thatā€™s a huge lawsuit against the NHL

  4. NHL Officiating has gone way downhill the last 5 or so seasons. Wheeler chicken-wing's MAF's Glove, all good SMH. Also King should have challenged that Goal for Goalie Interference.

  5. Why is the play not whistle dead by rule if your goalie equipment comes off the play is supposed to be stop what are the referees looking at I can't stand incompetent referees

  6. Kinda weird that players are required to return to bench immediately after losing any equipment minus the stick while the play is still on when a goalie loses his glove. Doesn't seem to be safe.

  7. That's a tough one. Fleury initiated contact, and wheeler was out of the crease, but wheeler clearly clamped his elbow on it, he knew what he was doing there. Either way, it should be a whistle.

  8. Not only that the play should have been stopped, this should have been a penalty on the Jets. Typical BS refereeing in NHL.

  9. I was at this game, and I actually didnā€™t even realize that the glove can off, as I was sitting behind the goal in the 300 level. I thought that was a weak one for Fleury to let inā€¦

  10. Good call reffs, you can see the goalie put him hand in Blake's wheelers arm. And you can hear the Reff tell the other team they need to touch the park first. He saw his intentionally put his glove in Blake's arm while Blake was moving around to the front to screen the puck. For once they followed the rule book. They use to play with like none to little equipment LOL

  11. Wonder if Minnesota still would've traded for him with a broken hand. I respect the need to protect your goal but that's DUMB trying to block a shot bare handed.

  12. Linesman to ref "Watch out for the goalie inteference"
    Referee "What goalie"?
