As a neutral fan i think turning some of the Core Four (cringe term) to free up cash and address other dire needs should be the priority.
Keep the core four and the family together and concentrate on goalies and toughness. The Leafs aren’t tough enough.
The leafs are notorious for ruining young goalies. They rush them into the lineup & leave them to the fire where they inevitability get injured &/or their confidence is beaten down & ruined.
That being said, i like sammy & woll.
I think the big issue is if Justin Holl isn't coming back you need a 5-6m value defenceman on the roster and it's right handed.
Hope they go for it we need a solid number one give them Murray and sammy and young prospect and roll the dice

They need much more grit then they do a goalie, a forward(s) like a Tkachuk for example.
The main items the Leafs need to do is to start signing their UFA's, get Matthews & Nylander signed, find out where Muzzin's health is at, and get rid of the Murray Contract. All the rest is just guesswork until these items are done or not done. The earlier they find out what they have makes it easier to know what they need
I say keep Holl ,the best defenceman in the league.and make massive trades to ensure an early start to the golf season.the longest running comedy show continues for another season.😊

Keep Sammy(if possible) and Woll.Get more defensemen,even if that means trading away from the forward lines.
I'm scared to see the Leafs make a trade I don't want them to lose Robertson, Samsonov and Woll are good, buyout Matt Murray, resign Acciari, Schenn, Samsonov and Kampf, let Kerfoot, Holl and Bunting walk, maybe let go of Giordano too, I'm more worried about who the second line center is going to be if they move Tavares to the wing, I really just want for July 1st to pass with Matthews, Marner and Nylander still on the team
Leafs know how to score, just not in the playoffs. Doing the same thing over and over and have not reprogrammed their brains just doesn't work. I am still puzzled as to why they did not shoot high at the Florida goalie and kept shooting low except for one goal that Nylander scored; look at how Vegas has been shooting pucks high at the goalie in the Final.
