I have heard on a couple occasions that John Gibson could be a target. It would take some salary retention on the Ducks part and undoubtedly Joel Blomquist going back the other way.

Dubas comes in with a low-bar to improve upon. Hextall was about as disclosive as a harpooned sperm-whale. Everyone in the Penguin herd is thrilled to have someone who actually answers questions! Imagine that! We've experienced two years of fan-abuse at the hands of some serious smugness.

He's Kyle, so we can expect a lot of Monster drinking and drywall punching.
Clearly Dubas and those at FSG discussed front office organization, and he was hired as President of Hockey Operations rather than GM because Dubas wanted to be in charge (avoid the Shanahan situation he left behind in Toronto). There will need to be assistants hired, but it remains to be seen whether Dubas even wants a GM. He may push to retain much of the traditional GM role within his POHO role, and hire 3 or 4 assistants to oversee scouting, player development, contracts, and analytics.
