I dont think Zimmer would have had that good of a season if he wasnt playing with heidt. Granted.. he is a power forward that reminds me a lot of Josh Anderson. 100% will play in the nhl but its not a slam dunk.
Danil But is ranked so low just because he’s Russian that’s literally the reason… and personally I don’t think Montreal is using that pick I think they will be moving it
Man people scoffing at a later pick are forgetting the beauties like Marchand and knies who were late drafts. The owness is on the scouting staff to find these guys. I want drafts for us right now not jaded centernen with baggage lik PLD
Of those 3, I would take But, but I don't know if the Habs would draft him given the Russian factor. Could also be a good place to pick up an RHD like Bonk or Dragicevic (or ideally Willander, but I don't think he falls that far).
So I watched a bunch of video on Ethan and I agree I like what i see. However I have to try and figure out the WHY all the scouts have him at the bottom of the top tier and I think it is because he does not have top speed but he makes up for it with quickness and imo quickness can often be better than pure speed. He competes hard but does lack a little bit in size meaning he will win some battles and keep the coach happy with his compete level but might not pan out statistically especially since he fully commits to the forecheck which can often be a mistake. The other thing I think that holds him back is a lack of a great shot he is more like the many players who never produce because he sort of just tries to get shots on net without any real accuracy or thought just basically get it to the net. I do see a nice hockey player and I do see skill and potential so yeah I would be good taking him with the next pick.
Whatever the Montreal Canadiens want to do at the draft; it will all depend on what other teams before them will do. Even though they want certain players, it does not mean they will be there with their picks, so obviously, they must have a plan "A","B" and likely "C" for each draft pick they have. One thing is sure, the very good teams in the NHL have been super lucky at the draft more than once, especially with some early and often late picks. Indeed, to build a good team, it all starts at the draft…!!!

With the 29th pick min, we won't have a chance to draft Gauthier.

Daniil But would be insane haha ''et le BUUUUT''
Ohh I hope we don’t draft Gauthier… he will never be in the NHL! That would be a waste of a pick

The Habs have to use the late 1rst and Struble to get the Sharks 4th overall.

We need to realize the cats are probably cup winners this year too
Put But on the same line as Rondelle (that guy is everywhere).

Maybe we get Michkov and But. Go all out on Russians like we did with Slovakians last year
Man stop this drafting Russians. These kids could be in Ukraine in the front lines . Enuff already
