  1. We have some great QB's, but few are as thrilling as Favre was. I miss this old gun slinger. In present day Patrick Mahomes is tremendously similar to Favre. We'll see where his career goes, but he had an awesome start this year. 50 TD's and getting ready for a divisional playoff game!

  2. I thought the turning point was when Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round with the 33rd overall pick, and then they traded him to Green bay.

  3. Favre plays best when he is out for revenge or emotional (sad), always has been. He switches to pure focus!

  4. When Favre threw the ball it was like a cobra striking it's prey. This gunslinger mentality is why he is til this day my favortie qb of all time.

  5. I love the idea of bragging on some old Brett Favre plays but his turning point was 1992 vs the Bengals. The Packers were 2-14 without him before 1995. And if it weren’t for the Cowboys just having the Packer’s number he would have won 4 straight SBs.

  6. I cry whenever I try to imagine what would have been had Favre to Sharpe lasted throughout the 90s instead of ending prematurely back in 1994. Favre w/ Sharpe would have multiple Super Bowl Championships, period.

  7. Anyone else think about the similarity between this situation and Rodgers who got knocked out of a Lions game with a concussion, missed the following week vs the Patriots, then came back and went on a tear that included a super bowl win that season and a 15-1 MVP campaign the following year?

  8. Awesome video. Seeing brooks and sharpe electrify then have short careers is still stunning to me.

  9. Great memories with my father that come up in my head watching memories like this but tue craziest was week 17 2003 josh mcown lmao

  10. Yes, even as a no-good cheesehead, i loved the way he played the game…Yes, if you cut me i bleed purple baby!!! SKOOOOOOL

  11. Lifelong Packer fan, watched most of those games. It was apparent, early on, the Brett played better after he'd been knocked unconscious. The harder they beat him, the smarter and stronger he became. A defensive coordinator's ultimate nightmare.

  12. The game against Atlanta Falcons was a turning point as Mike Holmgren said he told Brett Favre not to run with the ball and throw the ball away so they could take the field goal. Of course Favre ignores it and takes off running and scores the winning TD. Afterwards Mike told Favre "didn't I tell you not to run with the ball." Favre "Yeah but I knew I could score running the ball."
    Classic Brett Favre.
