  1. Hes a decent player he just has too much expectations due to his draft position in that legendary 2015 draft.

  2. He my reason, Dylan Strome probably like this sometimes, and he ain’t in a good position in the lineup he would be good in the 2nd line Center as my opinion

  3. I feel like he gets relied on a bit too much, he is a good middle 6er maybe even a top 6er BUT he definitely isn't the player everyone thinks he is. I can see him as a good depth piece and for a team like Chicago it should be a priority to get players like that, take the weight off Kane's back.
Basically I don't see him as "elite" but I don't think he is a bust like some people will label him, he is a good player just not on par with two player who went before him and can you really blame him for not being McDavid or Eichel?

  4. im one of the bigest strome fans out there i just think he needs to put in more time and effort into working on where he needs to improve on his game like his speed is something that has been questionable ever since the draft and he hasnt really put too much time into improving it. you can have all of the skill in the world but if you dont put in effort just skill alone doesnt carry you to being an elite player. mcdavid matthews any of the elite players you can think of just out work him. i still think he can be an elite player he just needs to want to be an elite player as much as alot of us want him to be.

  5. I remember I wanted the Leafs to draft him so bad but hey Marner wasn’t a bad consolation prize

  6. Dylan never recovered from that video that surfaced of him in junior hockey doing some…. lets just say questionable things.

  7. Dylan never took that step up like his buddy DeBrincat did. Alex wanted to become a 2 way player and committed himself to achieve that. He literally modeled himself after Kane, not a bad role model. Strome needs to pick Toews’ brains and learn how to become a better 2 way player. He’s not good on faceoffs so he needs to work on that. I also don’t think his attitude is the greatest. It always came easy to him, now it’s harder. He needs to step it up. I’m rooting for him too.

  8. The Strome brothers (Ryan and Dylan) cannot skate. It is an elite skating era in the NHL these days. If he can't keep up, he is gonna be replaced by younger, faster, bigger skaters.

  9. The word around AZ when he played here was he didn't train hard enough. Didn't put enough effort in practice and was a bit lazy.

  10. Wonder if it would make sense to move him to the wing in a top 6 role. Would look good on Brady Tkachuk's wing with Connor Brown.

  11. i actually think dropping strome down to the 4th line might actually work, and help right the ship with dylan. just as a lot of the younger hawks like bagel, kurashev, kubalik, and dach have had to do, putting strome on the 4th line forcing strome to earn his way back up to a top 6 role might put a chip on dylan's shoulder, forcing him to play with purpose and toughen him up a little in the same process.
