Interesting trade but this might be a hot take but I think the rangers won they gave up all that cap but the wings get a 2nd round pick which is good and Staal could be a good mentor for younger defence

Wings need a better goalie to atleast backup Jonathan bernier and better defense,the wings goalie isn't the best but defense for the wings was also bad,hopefully marc stall can help them a little bit
This is a great move for the Rangers. With around $20m in cap…(prob closer to $7-8mil after RFA signings)
Maybe they can offer DeAngelo, Strome and #22 pick for Laine and Lowry.
