  1. This looks like a win-win-win deal. Kings do this to make cap room to sign Gavrikov and hopefully Korpisalo or acquire another goaltender. Philly gets a ton futures and nearly all of them have possible future potential. CBJ gets their DMan for Babcock.

  2. Lets go! I am so happy briere was able to pull this off; FIRST TRADE EVER? Like, how is this possible. I would have taken a first for him.
I just hope he doesnt trade hart. I see top 3 nhl goalie in him, and vezina winner in him.

  3. 1:00 minor nitpick, CBJ doesn't have the 4th pick, they have the 3rd. Other than that, I watch all of your videos and they're all great (including this, the mistake doesn't make it bad).

  4. As a blue jackets fan, I like the trade we needed a defensive man that isn’t injury prone and that the fact he is only 25, prolly not gonna happen but if we get carter hart I would do happy we need a young goalie

  5. The reason people are surprised trades can happen now is because in EA GM modes you have to wait until the draft lol

  6. They better not get rid of Hart and start Petersen. P belongs in the AHL, I wouldn't even replace DeSmith with him. This was a great return for Provorov, great first move for Briere

  7. CBJ fan, and I don’t like this one for two reasons. First, the obvious, Provorov basically kicked off the anti-pride night trend this year, so it’ll be tough to see him on my team. Second, its in-line with Jarmo’s history of misreading how close the team is to competing and going for it when it’s likely not ready. It’s an uninspiring move for an uninspiring player that doesn’t move the needle far enough toward competing. At least we kept all the prospects in the cupboard, the price could have been worse.

  8. One detail you got wrong, Grans might be 6’3”, but the offense to his game is actually his most impressive trait, not his defensive ability. If he’s actually being viewed as a defensive defenseman, then it seems like LA had no clue what they got on their hands and tried to make him a shutdown guy though

  9. As a blue jackets fan this trade gives me plenty of mixed feelings. I think Provorov could look really good with us, but I also think Jarmo is maybe trying too hard to force an end to the rebuild. I could see Philly drafting a player at 22nd overall that is better than Provorov. If Willander, Gulyayev, or Simashev is available at 22, then that's going to hurt to see. Great trade for Philadelphia.

  10. Great 1st move by Briere. Move overpaid Provorov who stopped trying and wanted to be moved. Getting 1st, 2 2nds and good RHD prospect is fantastic value for an overpaid guy who hadnt played that well last few years.

  11. Philly actually made a good trade? That happened! Wow, just wow, why did either CBJ or LA even get involved? Looking for a straight draw post flop? I don;t get it, good for PHI, maybe DB can do the right moves for a long play!

  12. Provorov just stagnated the last few years. I think he could have a great season in Columbus. Part of the problem is that Provorov wants to play more offensively and he wasn’t being used that way because Philly needed him to play big minutes and be their de facto number 1 all-around defenseman.

  13. I think playing on the second pair behind Z in Columbus will help provorov greatly. He’s a cheaper Gavirkov with a much higher ceiling.

  14. Philly has so many trade-able assets. They could have a killer rebuild if they just slowly chip away at everyone. Hayes, Laughton, Hart, Konecny, JVR, Sanheim, Risto, Braun, Atkinson, Ellis, Couturier. Just build a trade around each of these players and what’s the total return? Like 7 first rounders 5 former first round players, and a full 2nd-7th worth of picks at least? (1st round pick would look like 2 for Hart Konecny and and 1 for Hayes, Risto or Atkinson. The amount of assets it would take to acquire these players is crazy considering how bad the team is. Blow it up. If they traded away everyone worth more than a 5th this year they will be screwed when next years draft class hits UFA.

  15. Philly is tanking. This trade plus the upcoming Hart trade proves it. LOL! They got draft picks and an AHL goalie. Pure tank mode.

  16. I totally expected to get at most a 2nd for provy given how he's been not the greatest. getting a 1st is absolutely a huge W

  17. I'm really hoping Columbus gets beat by 10 goals every game next season. How they could hire trash like Babcock
