QUESTION OF THE DAY — SHARE YOUR STORY! How Crazy Did YOU Go When The Blackhawks Won The 2023 NHL Draft Lottery & The Rights To Connor Bedard?! JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE!
Think your operating the prospect pool as of today. The defensiveman pool still leaves alot to be desired. They should nove up and maybe take one. Peeka? Bonk? But they need forwards. Cristal makes sense at 19. Can room with Bedard. Teams are going to offer the world for Bedard. Arizona and Montreal are in play. Do you take all that draft capital including 24 and 25 first? That's on the table. Is Mitchov plus the picks a good enough consolation prize. Tempting. Not sure I would be pissed.
Joe Brand's comment with regard to Kyle Davidson defining "speed" as being able to think and play the game by making quick decisions as much as straight line skating speed makes me think Gabe Perrault may be a perfect fit playing wing alongside Conner Bedard in the future. I can't help but wonder how he ranks Perrault in his list of draft prospects. Obviously, they would need a big, physical winger to balance out and protect that line, e.g. a Charlie Stramel type player.
