Everyone says he is overrated but this guy is the same level as some of the best centers in the league. He is not declining as he put up career highs last season and was on pace for another great season this year. His two way talent is really slept on, he is as elite as bergeron or orielly. I've watched every hawks game this season and he has been so good on penalty kills and as a forward is stepping up for a weak defense. And he can also contribute on the scoreboard too. He played with kubalik a lot and helped make Kubalik a calder finalist. Insane leader, great two way game, and he is my favorite player ever.

Toews is not an offensive juggernaut….he’s all about character and leadership. He is a fierce leader amongst the greats like messier , yzerman and has the three cups to prove it. He is very good defensively and plenty capable offensively.

He's one of the greats of his generation that's for sure… but "the best all around player"? I'm sorry but Crosby is just on another level… and Datsyuk was ahead of him in that department too, even Hossa maybe. Not taking anything away from him, he's a pure winner and an awesome player but I would never call him the best
after meeting him pre-nhl, i was not impressed with his attitude, but he's turned into a true humble superstar. respect.

Toews is seriously underrated and this is coming from a guy who thought he was done a few years back. He doesn’t get enough praise for how good his hands and skating are. He’s one of the best danglers in the league.
