  1. 4 in the core and only one puck. Too many skilled scoring assets and not nearly enough two way and NHL level defenders. Balance is more important than top level offensive talent. Right Edmonton?

  2. laughts plays his best hockey at wing and played most of last year there

  3. I told you guys many times; trade Matthews to the Rangers for their second line centre, LaFreniere, a defenseman or goalie and two prospects or picks. Put Ryan O'Reilly at centre on the first line and make him captain. Sign Schenn.

  4. Agree with Steve's thought – moving JT to the wing makes the cap issues worse as it's significantly more expensive to backfill a 2nd line center instead of winger. The Leafs will need to go bargain bin shopping to fill the open roles.

  5. Laughton is an average decent player of good character, but Briere is dreaming if he thinks he can get a high level 1st round pick for hi. Maybe Briere is just putting out probes, listens to offers, see what happens.

  6. Over 50 years watching the Leafs and we draft 4 great players so instead of drafting high-ceiling big defensemen for the past 7 years (like Vegas has) we drafted little wingers with 3rd line ceiling while trading away our pick for rentals to go all-in every year. When will you explain how stupid it was to not have defensemen who have had 7 years of maturity ready to take the team to the next level on great contracts right now?
