As a New Yorker even tho I’m ranger fan this team story was unreal from when they were announced, from Vegas shooting from 2018 from almost winning the cup their first season, a couple of embarrassing playoffs eliminations, from missing the playoffs last year. Now in their six season for existing Stanley cup champions congratulations to the Vegas Golden Knights, their fan base and to the city this truly hockey town! Go knight go! You guys deserve this!

Was living there in the 702 when all this was was "Vegas Wants Hockey" with a Town Hall sit-down with owner Mr. Foley. No sweaters. No logo. No arena. Just …….a vision & a belief. Incredible what just under 10 years can do to a city that never knew anything above the Wranglers.

What a boring series. 2 teams that have no fans outside of their respective cities. Florida should not have even been there. Should have lost in the first round. Got lucky bounces and mediocre goaltending. Which got them through. Congrats to Vegas. They won a Cup. Even though the West is a tampon wearing conference. 2023 will go down as the least watched, and least cared about Cup in 25 years.

Vegas fan & that was maybe the worst final ever in terms of a matchup. Outscored Florida 26-12 in the series. Total domination! Florida completely outmatched. Gretzky said it best, Vegas is to big, to strong, & to fast for Florida. When you have 4 lines that can score too…goodnight! Nice run for them but they had no chance from Game 1! Stone is the man, Adin Hill was unreal! Go knights Go baby!

Vegas expansion ruined the Pittsburgh Penguins and I’ll never forgive the NHL for it. Having to pick between our goalies “picking the wrong one” and protecting the wrong players (Jeff Carter protected over Brandon Tanev who scored 40+ goals this year) after back to back cups it completely ruined them up to this day. The pens aren’t blameless but that’s when the mess they’re in started!
For the state of Nevada, this is the first professional team to win a championship from that state!
