Where do you want the Coyotes to move? 👇
Great, concise coverage. Too bad Surrey can't take a team because BC could easily support a second team. It would cut down on riots in Vancouver. The Surrey Bards I would name them.
Hey Parker I think the coyotes move to Houston but I’ve heard rumblings about Salt Lake City Utah
I want Houston. Bigger market, better opportunity to grow the game. Salt Lake is too small for me
100% coming to Utah
Mullett is hockey numb nuts
Greater Houston alone has nearly twice the population of all of Utah, and a Houston team would also be able to draw from all of South Texas as well as Louisiana, being only a 5 hour drive from New Orleans. A SLC team would be sandwiched between the Golden Knights and Avalanche and may have trouble drawing fans even within its own state, and especially fans out of the state that would prefer to root for the Knights or Avs instead (or Kraken in the case of Idaho). Plus a stretched sports dollar due to Utah already having an NBA team. Relocating to SLC over Houston would be a foolish decision on the NHL's part.
It's for ASU's HOCKEY TEAM not basketball team. ASU plays in a MUCH LARGER Desert Financial arena that sits 14,000. Double check your claims.
John Shannon agreed that a team in Hamilton Ontario would instantly become the 5th biggest revenue stream in the league. But hey we can't have that now
The NHL may look at the competition of other pro teams in Houston, SLC and KC. SLC has only 1 pro team. But their arena may not be best for hockey. That’s the same problem they had when the original Winnipeg Jets move to Phoenix.
Houston has three pro teams
KC has two pro teams
Bettman added teams in Nashville, Columbus, Vegas, who all at that time had either one or zero other pro teams.
SLC may not have the population of Houston, but if they have half million people, they only compete against the Jazz.
Yotes will find another centralized location in the metro area and solidy a long term agreement in AZ. They're not moving, mark it….
Coyotes should think of moving to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where they have a arena called Paycom Center which is located at 100 W Reno Avenue in downtown Oklahoma City which has 15,152 seats for a current NHL team. Coyotes should be talking to Professional Basketball Club LLC owner Clayton (“Clay”) Ike Bennett is an American businessman and chairman of the Professional Basketball Club LLC, the ownership group of the Oklahoma City Thunder an NBA franchise team that owns Professional Basketball Club LLC which its headquarters is located at 208 Thunder Drive in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The Salt Lake City Slickers? I don't think so.
Quebec Nordiques
Coyotes stayed in Arizona 💯💯💯💯🌵🌵🌵🌵😎👍
You really need to use local sources.
1. Strang's article had massive issues, like insinuating potential issues within the organization were because of the new owner and not already there and needing to be cleaned up by him.
2. Mullett Arena is ASU's brand new hockey arena build for the D1 NCAA team, not the basketball arena. That's Desert Financial Arena across the street.
3. Tempe wasn't paying for the cleanup of the landfill. That was on the Coyotes. The $200 million was for infrastructure issued by bonds and to be paid for by a portion of sales taxes generated on site.
I don't think so because Salt Lake has indicated to the NHL they would pay the expansion fee.
Another great show
