Marc-Antoine Godin got fired from The Athletic which is also cutting any French-language content for the Habs

Dumont got fired first, then Julian McKenzie got switched to the Flames, now Godin is gone so only Arpon Basu is left.
Really seems like The Athletic is going down the toilet and will just become another generic subscription news site
The Athletic is heading towards the gutter.
Honestly if Basu quit and paired up with Godin as an independent venture I’d subscribe to that immediately and dump The Athletic.
Such a shame, he’s sure to get picked up quickly.
