Nikolaj Ehlers scored his second goal at 9:13 of overtime to give the Winnipeg Jets a 5-4 win against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup First Round at Bell MTS Place on Sunday.

Ehlers scored off a Paul Stastny face-off win after Winnipeg rallied from down three goals in the third period.

“That’s our team. I mean, we don’t give up,” Ehlers said. “We showed a battle at the end, and it paid off.”

Connor Hellebuyck made 44 saves for the Jets, the No. 3 seed in the Scotia North Division, who can advance to the second round with a win in Game 4 of the best-of-7 series here Monday.

It was Ehlers’ first game since April 24 because of an upper-body injury.

    After the first period I was like what the f***! then the Jets came back holy frick also the Jets came back 3 years ago from a 3 goal deficit and scored 2 quick in game 3 in May and the jets do the same thing in 2021 holy $&@! Ehlers and Hellebuyck are the GODS of Winnipeg HOLY SHIT

    Much like the Oilers owning us during the season and then beating us 6-1 and the Jets went on a tail spin at the end of the season this WIN might do the opposite for the team confidence and momentum going forward. Lets finish the Sweep and keep this streak going! Go Jets!

    On that second powerplay unit Ehlers is more dangerous than all 5 guys collectively on that first unit. I also don’t but the weaker competition argument.

    I think you are bit too negative for this teams behalf, even if nobody else believed them, maybe you have more nerves than me, but i dont see why jets cant make it past Leafs too, playoffs are just a different animal and the group is very tight knit

    I have never lost faith in our Jets dude. Never.
    7 game losing streak was tough….but it brought out the grit and determination and willpower in our guys!

    Rewatatch the 1st 2 oiler goals on both plays it looks to me that Kassian gets his stick into the feet of a jets defenseman and trip's them on both. I dont support the bad play in the 1st period. Think the missed calls gave the oil an edge

    Was watching with my cousin. At the start of the powerplay he said "if the Jets don't scored here i'm calling it game."
    Then they scored, and i was like "ooh, maybe they can do it."
    And then they scored again, and I was like "come on boys, you can do it!"
    And then they scored again, and all I could say was "OOHHHH!"
    And then Ehlers scored in overtime, because that's what Ehlers does, and a I refrained from chirping the Oilers fans in my circle because chirps after a loss like that are bordering cruelty.

    I'm an Oilers fan watching this and saw the them lose in OT, it hit me, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are completely useless in the playoffs if they don't have depth. Man it took me this long to realize two guys can't carry a team even if they have a goalie who's playing out of this world, I'm sorry for under estimating Winnipeg Jets, Jets fan you deserve this series, but most of all thank you for giving Edmonton a lesson in failure that you can't win a playoff match without depth I hope they learned that lesson

    I completely relate to you. I had to re-watch the highlights to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
    My wife was blessed with the opportunity to be at the 2018, 3 goal Nashville comeback on her birthday; she Best said this game was crazier!!!
    Ehlers might go to the HOF because he is becoming the best Danish born player ever in the NHL.

    I thought this was gonna be a close series. Except for this season we always have good close battles with Edmonton. I don’t know why everyone is so surprised they are a good team with a tough season.
